Battles, calamities and thundering storms,
They say their love conquers all.
There's a whispering in our Empire that was,
I'll better not hear,
A home of love they call. For ages and generations to come,
They say their love won over norms so small,
Peshwa Bajirao and Mastani Sahiba's tale it was,
I'll better not recite,
That a home of love they call. The very home which left behind a mansion,
One made of tears wiped with my Peshwin Bai's shawl,
'Home'-wrecking & unbound saga of love it was,
I'll better not look upto,
Oh! A home of love they call. The brave glorious saga emerging out of two faiths,
The same for which my Aai's existence was a stall,
Peshwa and his beloved other woman's tale it was,
I'll better not tolerate,
Sigh! A home of love they call. The chronicle that doesn't speak of,
The ignored Kashibai left alone in a dreadful squall,
A tale of my anger and revenge it was,
I'll better be the villian,
For a home of love they call.___________
A/N: Im not back okay :P Just successfully wrote something after ages. Actually, completed writing something. Another out of the world idea :P
This poem speaks of pov Nanasaheb, son of Peshwa Bajirao and Kashibai, the one kid who turned out to be the cause of the end of Baji and Mastani's story. I feel his hatred and disgust is every way justified. I know, most professors of love might blame his mother for the same input, as parents are always put responsible for the ways of upbringing. I do believe upbringing has a huge huge impact over a person's life, yet, observations have a power to make or break; even for a little child.
Maybe if Rao had been a little more responsible father to him, things would have been different.
However he might have tried, the boy could not have got the bitterness against the two out of his heart.
And this very thought, made me write it this way.
This is how I view it, anybody likes it or not. I dont find the love story any glorious. But do tell me your views!
