Stand and face it,
Sparkling sapphires and emeralds tempting the eyes.
All the riches of the world washing over gold dust.
It's beauty, so tempting and with each swell it washes life over the toes and bursts breath into the soul
It surpasses ankles leaving you to realize it can't be controlled
Another breath tumbles over toes, distracting from the pull coming behind.
It catches, dragging forward, gold dust tries to engulf.
Both just as greedy trying to steal me away from the land.
In a mad struggle it's pumping life into me and I fight the temptation, running backwards, toes tensed.
When I finally escaped it's greed filled, power pumping grasp
My back is turned to it now, catching my breath. It's waves crashing and rolling, taunting me. My back is to it, I trust it's evil
And I enjoyed every second of it.
