(Strong language warning, this might get a bit... well, strong)
"Oh. My. God" Vicky chuckled out, her face barely illuminated by her phone's screen, causing both Jayden and I to jump "I knew it! I totally knew it"
"Vicky, what? wait" Jayden said, hopping up, slightly disorientated "You have to delete that photo"
"Like hell I'm doing that" Vicky laughed, taking another picture, this time just of me shirtless "This is gold. Just wait until Chris-"
"Vicky, you can't tell Chris" Jayden stated, me myself being at a loss for words "You know him. He's going to blow it way out of proportion"
"Hm... I think he has a right to know that two guys are sucking each other off behind his families cabin" Vicky joked with a wicked grin, before she turned her phone off and casually walked around the corner. Jayden and I stared at each other for a moment or two, as if our minds hadn't caught up yet, before quickly, Jayden dashed around the corner. I quickly threw my shirt back on and did the same.

Jayden and I found ourselves in an... interesting scene. Vicky was already showing a crowd of people, Chris included. The crowd seemed to be split all over the place. A few people looked disgusted at the picture, a few looked disgusted over the fact that the picture had been taken in general, a few were laughing their heads off, a few were shaking their heads at Vicky, it was surreal. Chris looked over to Jayden and I, a certain level of anger in his eyes which kind of confused me.
"You fucking faggots" Chris barked out, his voice laced with venom, as he rushed over to us "You actual fucking faggots"
"Chris, please, I can explain" I began, lying. Quite frankly, I couldn't explain it in a way that wouldn't anger the prick
"You two have been fucking in my families house, haven't you?" Chris hissed "That's fucking disgusting"
"Dude, fuck off" Jayden barked out
"You have NO RIGHT to tell me to fuck off!" Chris growled "I can't believe that you're fucking gay"
"I don't see what's wrong with that" I said, surprising even myself
"How could you not?" Chris snorted out "It's unnatural"
"The following is a list of animals that can be naturally gay" I began, a strange level of sass in my words "Barn owls, penguins, chickens, turkeys, ravens, swans"
"But-" Chris tried to speak, though I just cut him off
"Dogs, elephants, foxes, cats, lions, pandas, raccoons"
"I-" he tried to speak again, though I was having none of it
"box crabs, fruit flies, jumping spiders, harvest spiders, wood turtles-"
Apparently I tested his limited patience slightly too much, because before I could continue, Chris swung at me, his fist slamming into my jaw, causing me to drop down to the ground. The crowd gasped, half of them trying to intervene, the other cheering on a fight
"You faggots are disgusting" Chris said with a glare. I looked up to him, then to Jayden, who stood still, eyes widened, as if he was in shock. I then looked over to the crowd of people behind Chris. It was too much. I quickly hopped to my feet and rushed off towards the woods, no idea what else to do. I just wanted to get away from everyone.

I found a log to sit on, in the middle of the woods, where I could simply cry alone. Of course it was too good to be true. Of course I couldn't keep this illusion up. I was stupid to think it, quite frankly. And my bloody chin was proof of just that.
"Mark? You there?" a familiar voice called. Heather came into view, her face laced with concern. She saw me sitting alone, and decided to take a place beside me. "You okay?"
"Perfectly fine. Peachy, really" I said, sarcastically, trying not to cry too badly "Besides the bloody chin and the fact that I've been outed, the night's actually been fairly nice"
"Right, dumb question" Heather said, giving a quick, forced smile, before returning to a serious tone "What happened back there wasn't called for"
"I couldn't tell" I spat out, frivolously choking back tears
"Listen, I have a friend at the party, and she has a car" Heather offered "If you want, I can get us out of here. I'll even grab your stuff for you and pick you up somewhere along the road so you don't have to go back to the cabin and face Chris"
"I... I'd actually like that, thanks..." I began
"I can imagine how horribly you feel at the moment." Heather stated, placing an arm on my shoulder in attempt to comfort me "If you need to talk to anyone, I'm here for you"
"At this point, I just want to get out of here" I sighed, before a shallow chuckle escaped my lips "You know, I was actually really enjoying this week, honestly. Too bad that this moment sort of ruins all the other ones, huh?"
"It doesn't really have to" Heather said with a shrug "Like, sure, you were outed by a bitch, punched by a maniac, and a crowd of people who will no doubt tweet or whatever about this saw it-"
"... does this have a point?" I asked, slightly confused
"But you also got together with your crush and made yourself a friend" Heather said with a smile "Surely that's... something, right? Just focus on the positives"
Focusing on the positives was probably impossible for me to do at that moment, but I found myself smiling slightly nonetheless. She was right, honestly. I did get together with my crush, and I did gain a friend. A good friend, quite frankly. And that was something to smile about, at the very least.
"Alright, I'll go grab my friend and we'll get out of here" Heather said as she hopped up "Meet us by the road leading out of here"
Heather left me alone to think. Things were bad. Very bad. But at least Heather was there for me. And as far as I could tell, half of the crowd weren't too impressed, either. I had to focus on the positives, as hard as that was. After a moment or two's worth of dwelling, I hopped up as well and headed over to the road.
