Draco opened the door to his bedroom, looking to see if Hermione was in there.

"Granger?" He called.

No response.

He shrugged and went to the library, searching up and down the aisles in search for her. He had expected her to be here, if anywhere. Draco frowned, Maybe the guest room?

So, Draco made his way up the stairs, calling out for her.

Draco couldn't find her anywhere, he even looked in the library.

Draco sighed and knocked on his mother's office door.

"Come in!" she called, her voice muffled.

Draco swung open the door and immediately asked, "Have you seen Hermione?"

Narcissa's lip twitched, but she shook her head, "No, I haven't. Why, Draco? What's wrong?"

Draco shook his head and sighed, rubbing his neck, "Nothing, mother. Nothing's wrong. I just- I wanted to give her as much of a heads up about the wedding as I could. She must be out with Weaselette still."

Narcissa scowled at him, "Draco, what have I told you about calling the Weasleys anything other than their given names?"

Draco scoffed, "Says you!"

Narcissa narrowed her eyes at her son, "Now you stop it right there, young man. You know exactly why I said those things and who forced me to."

Draco's face dropped at the accusation, "I know, mother."

Narcissa nodded, "Good. Now go eat, your cheekbones are practically popping out of your skin."

Draco smiled, "Yes, Mother."

Hermione stood at the footstep of her parents' house, Ginny a little less than two centimeters behind her. Hermione glanced behind her to give Ginny a pleading look, as if asking her to tell her she was joking. Ginny patted her back reassuringly and nudged her forward gently.

Hermione took a deep breath and raised her fist to knock on the door. Hermione sighed and her head dropped, "I can't."

Ginny rolled her eyes, "For Merlin's sake." she reached over Hermione and knocked on the door.

Hermione gasped and spun around to yell at Ginny when the door flew open, revealing a shocked and happy woman.

"Mum!" Hermione sighed.

She threw her arms around her daughter and sighed, "Oh Darling, it's so good to see you! It's been too long!"

Hermione untangled herself from her mother's embrace and laughed, "Mum, it's been two weeks."

Mrs. Granger shook her head, "Exactly!" Mrs. Granger spotted Ginny and grinned, reaching over to embrace the ginger as well," And Ginny! So good to see you, dear."

"Well, do come inside!" Mrs. Granger held the door open for the two ladies as they made their way to the living room. "I'll go get your Dad."

"Darling!" Mrs. Granger called as she walked up the stairs.

Hermione caught her head in her hands, groaning, "How am I supposed to ruin their moods with this news."

Ginny set her hand on Hermione's back, "'Mione, I really doubt they're going to be angry with you. Besides, your parents wanted to have grandchildren!"

Hermione scowled, "Yeah, with someone I loved and was married to. Not some childhood acquaintance that took me in and-"

"Hermione!" a voice called.

Hermione immediately smiled, running into her father's arms, "Dad."

He chuckled as he brushed her curls out of her face, "Hi there. What's brought you here? Missed me too much?" He chuckled after, causing Hermione's anxiety to return.

Hermione pulled away and glanced at Ginny, "Well, actually, we're here to share some news."

Mr. Granger followed her eyes to Ginny and grinned in her direction, "Ginny! Good to see you again! Doing well, I presume?"

Ginny grinned knowingly at Hermione, "Great, actually."

He grinned, "Wonderful!"

He and his wife settled themselves on the coach across from Hermione and Ginny. Mrs. Granger sipped from the tea she had just set down and smiled, "So, what's this news you were talking about?"

Hermione looked at Ginny and sighed. Ginny smiled and nodded. Hermione glanced back at her parents, who were beginning to worry for their daughter.

"I'm pregnant."

Mrs. Granger's face immediately split into a wide grin, she had to set her tea cup down so that she wouldn't spill as she gasped, "You are!?"

Hermione nodded, partially relieved at her mum's reaction. She glanced over at her dad, hoping it would go just as smoothly.

Her father's eyebrows were creased and he looked worried, "You've had a baby with Ronald?"

Hermione took a deep breath and told them her story.

She told them about the night he cheated, about the next morning and how she discovered she was at the manor, about how Draco had changed, and about figuring out she was pregnant.

By the end, her father still had the same face, and her mum's excitement had dimmed.

"Oh Honey, I'm sorry about Ron. And I'm sorry about Draco. But we're here for you. You can live here and we can help take care of you and the baby." Her mum said.

Hermione sighed in relief, about ready to cry, "Thank you, mum."

Hermione's Dad sighed, "You know I'm here for you too, 'Mione. But- aren't you going to tell him?"

Hermione sighed, "I don't know if I should. I mean, Draco's hated me since the day I stepped foot in the castle! I can only imagine his reaction if I told him that I was pregnant with his kid. I should tell Narcissa. Just so that she can know, and hopefully keep Draco in the dark so that he doesn't have to worry about the whole blood stuff. His pureblood status was immensely important to his father, I'm sure Draco was taught the same thing."

Mr. Granger nodded, "Of course. Whatever you think is right, Hermione."

Ginny sighed, "You'd better tell Narcissa as soon as possible and move back here soon, too, if you want to keep Draco in the dark."

Hermione nodded, "Alright. Let's go back to the manor."
