Flaming Canadian

Chapter 5

   I trudge through the door and collapsed on the couch. This would have been much easier if I could use my Blaze powers. But then I'd probably kill someone. Dang it! I chuck a pillow at the ground.

  Sky walks into the living room. He had bags under his eyes and looked really stressed. He saw me and smiled. "GUYS, MITCH IS BACK!!!" He screamed. I cringe. Too loud. Sky laughs and sits down. The others start to pile into the room. "Dude, where were you?"

   "That's a long story."  I frown and look away. "I learned what happened when I got kidnapped. But you guys might not like it..."

   "Nah. They got a problem with it they'll have to deal with me!" Jerome wrapped his arm around me and gave a protective grin.

  I slouch down. "I'm now part Blaze and now the Blaze is trying to take over..." I look down at my feet. This sucked.

   "Dude, are you serious?" Deadlox asked. A weird silence spread across the room. "Well, I guess that's kinda cool."

   "No, no its not!" I stand up and walk across the base. They all follow me down to the dungeon where I go inside a cell.

  "Dude, what're you doing?" Jerome asks concerned.

   "You need to lock me up before it takes over again." I sigh. "The village that was destroyed today was my fault..."

   Everyone gasps. After a moment Sky walks forward and locks the door. "What're you doing!?!" Jerome shouted.

   "He has a point. Until we can figure out how to stop the Blaze Mitch should stay where he can't hurt anyone." Sky replied, a grim look on his face.

   "B-but..." Jerome looks down.

  "I'll be fine. Just try and see if Seto can help?" I fake a smile. I wasn't sure if I'd be fine. Not one bit.

   We all agree and everyone heads off to bed. Sky was the only one not to look back as everyone left. I understand.  He needs to be strong in situations like this. He's our leader after all. Sleep came, but it took awhile.
