When I lost you

Viral photos of Maymay are making noise around social media. Some would even want her to join Asia's Next Top Model. The fact is so hard to deny that Maymay indeed has what it takes to be a model. Her slim and sexy body that is a perfect fit for every photo shoots, her big, round expressive eyes that could unveil a thousand of stories with just one look, her plump lips that is hard to resist, her long, black, silky hair that you would direly want to run your fingers through it. But Maymay wasn't ready for it. She doesn't have that much confidence to join a world-renowned competition. Although she has long dreamed of becoming a model, she thinks that it's just too early for now.

Edward and Maymay are on their way to a TV guesting when their handler, Ms. Love Capulong, wanted to spare a minute of Maymay's time.

"Maymay, pwede ba tayong mag usap saglit? Importante lang. I need your confirmation within this day kasi." Ms. Love calls out her attention.

"Ah sige po. Edward, mauna ka na muna ha. May sasabihin daw kasi muna si Ms. Love sa akin eh." Maymay whispers as she holds Edward's hand.

"Ms. Love, ano po yung sasabihin nyo?"

"Ganito kasi May, do you remember Mr. Furne One and Sir Josh Yugen? They want you to be a part of their runway show this June 12." Mr. Love exclaims with so much excitement as she holds Maymay's shoulders.

"Hala Mam! Grabe uy. Seryoso po ba yan? Pero sobrang bongga naman po nyan. Bakit ako? Marami naman pong iba dyan? Grabe di ako makapaniwala Mam." The excitement filled the room. Maymay just couldn't believe this opportunity. Kung dati ay sa mga mall or sa school lang siya rumarampa pero ngayon, isa pa sa mga prestigious na designer ang nag imbita sakanya.

"Sabi ko naman sa'yo Maymay na malaki ang potential mo wala ka lang bilib sa sarili mo eh. And there's more to that Maymay. They also want to invite you sa pinakamalaking international fashion show sa Dubai sa November."

Sobra namang nabigla si Maymay sa narinig mula sa kanilang handler. Never in her wildest dream that she would be handed this opportunity. Bigla nya namang naisip si Edward. A whirlwind of emotions was rummaging her thought.

"Pero Mam, alam na po ba ni Edward ito? I mean di naman po maaapektuhan yung loveteam namin po diba? Guest lang naman ako dun?" Curiosity struck Maymay at that very moment. She wanted this. She wanted to do a catwalk in international fashion shows but that was when Edward wasn't still in the picture. She knows about the possible consequences that could occur if she accepts this offer.

"Don't worry. Sasabihan ko si Edward. Kailangan mo talaga ang opinyon ni Edward dito ha. Kayo talagang dalawa." Ms. Love retorts with a certain touch of kilig evident in her reaction.

"Hehehe ikaw po talaga Ms. Love, syempre naman partner ko yun eh. Ako nalang po magsasabi kay Edward, Ms. Love."

"Oh siya sige. Ikaw na bahala magsabi kay Edward ha and sana matanggap ko na sagot mo in regards dito before the day ends."

"Sige po Ms. Love, mauna na ako."

Maymay walks away with a pang of worry. She wasn't sure of how Edward would react. But one thing's for sure, he will be the proudest one yet. As she marches her way towards the studio, there she saw Edward waiting for her at the entrance with the biggest smile on his face. Oh how this guy makes Maymay's heart flutter just by seeing him.
