"Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves." -Henry David Thoreau
I feel nothing as I float through the void of consciousness. I miss my family. I miss my music. I miss my fans. I miss Jade. I even miss Lara. I miss the boys. Honestly, anyone would be better company than myself at this moment. I am alone. I am numb. I can feel the movements of doctors shifting around me.
They are calling the coma that I am in a locked in a coma. Well, sure as heck, I am locked in! I am dreading the return of the cool steel needle jabbing in my skin to supplement my body's needs for survival. Stars circulate in my atmosphere. I have to mention here that this is not how my summer tour was meant to go. I am in the epitome of sorrow. I am Hamlet, I am Romeo, I am Odysseus. However, my journey is far more painful than theirs.
It all began when I was hitting on a pretty girl at a gas station. The tour bus was filling up gas, so I went inside in my disguise (a pair of sunglasses, a beanie, and a fashionable $50 scarf). I went to buy some gas station sushi. I knew this would be the moment in my destiny that I would thoroughly regret due to my sensitive bowel movements.
BLAM! A girl with curly brown hair walking her cat on a leash had just bumped into me with her chili cheese hot dog.
I raised my eyes and began to yell, "THIS IS A FIFTY DOLLAR SCARF FROM LOUIS VUITTON!"
The girl throws 50 one dollar bills at my face and silently walks into the hot dog aisle to get another one. Clutching my newly received money, I followed her with eyes of steel. She wasn't like the other girls. She didn't spare me another glance. She was wearing a Nirvana shirt, a black choker, ripped jeans, and an oversized sweatshirt. She strolled around with her headphones in blasting indie music. She reeked of hot dog water, but at that moment I wondered how I had never realized the beautiful aroma of hot dog water. I was in love.
