Matt's POV
Soon enough Tom had us all retreat. He seemed upset... It was sad... "Tom...?"
He looked back at me as we walked. "Yea?"
"Are you ok?"
"No..."
Wow... Tom was never this open with me, seriously, never. "So... uh... what happened?"
"Edd... He... HE CHEATED ON ME!"
Tom was now a sobbing mess, I kinda felt bad. "Oh..."
Oh, that's all I could say, OH. I felt bad, and what made it worse was... I liked Edd too... Truthfully I felt even worse for Edd. So many people adore him... and he would be miserable if he had to break someone's heart... What am I thinking? He DID break someone's heart! He IS miserable! I just know it!
Well, we continued down the cobblestone pathway, blood spilling wherever Tom walked. He was heavily injured... Wounds scarred his back, making it look as if he just came back from war. Which he just might've... "What's up with all the wounds?"
" damn bandit leader, he tries to kill me then he takes my boyfriend, hmph."
"Cmon... Let's go get you fixed up,"
We continued down the path once again until the castle came into view, Grabbing Tom, I ran up to the chapel.
The Chapel was a "safe haven, and the healers palace" Though I called it the "temple"
The priests had laid Tom on the straw bed, though it looked painful for him, the priests MUST know what they're doing. Slowly and gently they washed the blood off him. Soon enough the floor was dyed red with blood. Nervously, I backed up, I personally I don't like ANY GROSS THING on ANY of my CLOTHES! My shoes were bloody by now. This made circumstances worse for me, so, I screamed. The priests spun around quickly, and so did Tom. "Matt? Are you ok?"
"Oh! I-I just got a little blood on my new shoes that were worth over 400 coins..."
"Oh... Sorry sir..." The Priest bowed her head in apology.
I walked out of temple, displeased with the blood-stained shoes, and the dirt path didn't help anything! By the time I got to the castle my shoes were RUINED! I am OUTRAGED! Hmph!
Being the narcissist I am... this was... A NIGHTMARE!

Toms POV
Everything hurt, yes, but I couldn't tell if it was physically or mentally that hurt worse. Knowing the one person you loved now went with someone else kinda stings. So this was pretty miserable. I kept doubting myself. Nothing would or could make me feel better. I felt awful, and none of you probably wanna hear my complaints.
Just... Leave me alone. I don't need anyone anymore. I'll be lucky if I die. Yes, Lucky.
