Ash had just gotten up and had completely healed, he smiled his powers were becoming quite useful. He looked over and saw charizard still resting but otherwise intact. Ash stood up and heard a laugh he turned to see Gary leaning on the tree and watching him
"You were out cold man." Gary said
"You know it's rude to stare." Ash muttered
"And it's rude to not say hi when people greet you." Gary countered
Ash was about to make a remark but thought against it so he just glared and walked up to charizard who had woken up during the noise. He put his hand on charizards neck to feel his pulse and looked at his tail only to see it had gone out and it all became clear. Charizard had come back to life but that didn't mean that he had the power to keep him alive. Ash could but it would alert Arceus of his location and Ash is not strong enough to deal with him right now.
Charizard looked into Ash's eyes and nodded and before Charizard faded. Ash looked at where he stood and smiled knowing he was at peace and could finally rest. Gary said nothing but they both knew that he felt sorrow for Ash knowing the experience that he had gotten during that adventure all the fun they had and the care and love between them so Gary would have never admitted it but on the inside he wished he could see the two united once again.
"Just wondering Ash what happened to you" We heard you die Arceus even said he did it." Gary Asked
"That's true I did die but lets say I had some outside help in getting back." Ash replied
Gary laughed "Leave it to you to escape death itself."
Ash laughed but then stopped smiling and for a second you could see fear on his face
"Gary run away now if you don't you'll die..." Ash spoke in a voice devoid of emotion
Gary was going to protest when he felt something off and without a word ran away just as Ash said.... As soon as he left the danger arrived, and for a second you could see whatever was there it wasn't human but a pokemon... But then again Ash still didn't know if Arceus was the god of pokemon or a wolf in sheeps skin.........
