"Are you ready?" I asked Maham as I walk in the room. I look up from my phone when I didn't get any reply.
I frowned when I didn't see her in the room. I was about to leave, but stop when I heard someone groaning. I walk toward the bathroom and knock twice.
"Who is it?" I heard Maham nervous voice from the other side and chuckle.
"It is me. What is taking you so long? We have to be there soon." I say and check the time again. We have to leave in 15 minutes.
"Can you please help me." I look at Maham when she open the door. I look at her up and down and saw her peach color dress with silver embroidery look perfect on her.
"What you want me to help you?" I asked her looking in her eyes. She walks in the room and stood in front of the mirror with her back to me.
"Can you zip it for me." She says and slowly move her hair on her one shoulder. I walk toward her and stand behind her before looking at her through the mirror.
Like the last time, I didn't feel her nervous, but she looks calm and a different look in her eyes. I raised my hand and hold the zipper in between my fingers before slowly pulling it upward. I put my hand on her shoulder after I zip her dress and look at her. Without really thinking, I leaned forward and press my lips under her ear. I feel her shiver and look at her as she close her eyes.
"Maham, I-" I was cut it off by the ring of my phone. I take a deep breath to control myself and take a step away from her. I take out my phone and saw Hussyan name flashing. I sigh and walk out when I saw Maham going back in the bathroom.
"Where are you guys? Everyone is waiting." Hussyan says as soon as I pick it up. I tell him we are on our way and hung up.
I leaned against the wall next to the room door and close my eyes. If he didn't call then maybe I would've said what I want her to know.

"Uzair come for a family photo." Hussyan says as I continue to sit at the table by the stage where all the gifts were. I nodded and went up.
Hussyan and Sila were sitting with Ahmed and Samairah. Samia Aapi and her family were standing behind on the right side while Maham and I stand on the left side. Dad, Mom, Sila Mom and Samairah Uncle and Aunty were sitting on the other couch on stage. Sila brother and his wife were standing on the Samia Aapi side while Ayeza and her family were standing on our side. Arsalan, Asad and my nephew were sitting in front of the bride and groom and Ahmed had Eshaal on his laps.
After dinner, Ahmed and Samairah went their home with Samia Aapi and her family, Sila, Hussyan and their kids. We all leave for our home as well. When we get home, Mom and Dad went in their room because they were tired while Ayeza leave for her home.
I stay in the living room for a little longer so I don't have to face Maham. I don't know what I am going to say for what I did earlier. I didn't regret it. It is just that I don't know how to explain it to her. When I feel Maham will be in bed, I went upstairs in room to get changed and to sleep.
When I step in, the room was dim and it is slightly hard to see anything but I didn't bother to turn on the lights and take out my night clothes from the closet and quietly went in the bathroomto get changed. I walk back in the room and comb my hairs and was about to get in bed, but stop when I heard my phone buzzing. I pick it up from my dresser and frowned. I quickly turned on the lights and didn't see Maham. I look down at my phone and stare at Maham message.
'Come upstairs on terrace.' It says. I throw my phone on the bed and went upstairs on the terrace. We rarely use it and it only opens when Ayeza kids stay here for vacations.
I open the sliding door and step out. I feel my mouth open slightly along with my eyes. I look forward and saw a cosy fort made with cushions, bed sheets and chairs. There are some dim fairy lights wrapped on the corners. I slowly walk toward it and saw a bowl of popcorns and a laptop.
"Do you like it?" I turned around and saw the Maham in her night clothes standing in the corner. I smile at her and nodded. She smiles back and walk toward me.
"Why you do all this?" I asked her confused, but smile didn't leave my face. She stands in front of me and bring her hand out to grab mine. I frowned and saw as she started to lower herself on knees.
"I know it is not much, but I don't want to do anything big to confess it. It might be weird for you seeing me like this on my kness but Uzair I have fall in love with you. I know you won't believe me, but this is true. I fall for you when we went to see the Tulip carpet. I fall for you when you take care of me while I was sick. I fall for you every time when you do something for me. I am so happy that I got a caring and loving husband like you. I know I did ignore you or maybe rude to you in the beginning, but now I realise my mistake. I am sorry for hurting you." She looks down at the ground and look up at me again.
"Will you give me a chance to show how you meant to me?" She looks at me with hopeful eyes. I tugged on her hand that was holding mine and make her stand on her feet.
"Yes." I rest my forehead against her and close my eyes when I feel tears fill in the corner of my eyes but before I could fall down I wipe it away.
"You were right, it is kind of weird to see you because I never ever think that you would do something like this." I grinned when she pushed me away and hit my chest.
"I hate you." She glared at me and turned to walk away, but I pulled her back and wrapped my arms around her from behind and put my face on her shoulder.
"Nah! You love me." I smirked when I saw her cheeks changing into a deep red. She turned in my arms and nodded while wrapped her arms around my neck.
"I do." I smiled and close my eyes as she leaned forward to place her face in my neck.
"I love you too." I feel her head snapping back to look at me. I open my eyes and smiled as she look at me with a surprise look. I nodded and kissed her temples.
"Come on, I set this as a date for us. I also put on your favourite movie and popcorns." She says and grabbed my arm before leading us in the fort. I lay on made up bed with cushions and pulled down Maham with me. I smile as she leaned back to me before pulling the cover on us. She grabbed the laptop to play the movie and put the bowl in between us.
After an hour, I feel Maham snuggling closer and heard her snoring softly as she rest her head on my shoulder. I smiled and turned off the laptop and put the half eaten bowl of popcorn on side with laptop and completely lay her down before looking down at her sleeping peacefully. I leaned down and lightly kissed her forehead and saw as she shift in her sleep and put her head on my chest. I smile and close my eyes to sleep with my love in my arms.
