Perfection, to some, doesn't exist. Joey thought he knew what perfection was, he thought he was experiencing perfection. He thought that the relationship he has with Daniel is perfection. But like previously stated...perfection doesn't exist.

Joey was falling in love quickly with Daniel, and he thought Daniel was in love with him too. How could he not think that way? Daniel told him he loved him! People would expect after you tell your crush you like them (or in this case, love) that they would make you their priority and show their love to you anytime and anywhere. If that's true, why is Daniel turning his back on Joey when they enter school? More importantly, why are Daniel's friends looking at him with a huge smirk?

"Hey, mute boy! I mean...Joey. How's your boyfriend Daniel?" Giving a nervous thumbs up, Joey walks to his locker. "Why isn't he here? I thought he was supposed to be your protector?" The bully slams his locker shut "I think I know where he is." Joey follows as the guy points behind him, Daniel was standing with the group of populars high-fiving them. "What's going on over there?" Joey's animated voice asks. "Let's go find out shall we?" Jacob pulls at Joey's arm, leading them to the posse of jocks. "Daniel, look who we got!" Daniel looks right at Joey and smiles evilly "well hello there Joseph" typing quickly, Joey asks "what's going on Daniel?"

The group turns to Joey and surrounds him, Daniel stands in front of Joey, looking right into his eyes. "You're nothing but a worthless, no good f**. You were nothing but a game to me. I don't love you, how could I ever?" Joey shook his head, there's no way Daniel could mean what he's saying. "You were right when you said you're an easy target, you were the easiest target I've ever seen. So vulnerable, so trusting, so weak." Daniel's nose touches his "you really should've died in that car crash. I regret ever meeting you."

All the happiness and confidence Joey once held drained from him. This has to be a dream, he just has to wake up from it. "I-I don't understand...why did you do this?" Daniel smacks the phone out of Joey's hand, causing it to shatter against the tile floor. "Do I have to spell it out for you f**? You're a fucking waste of space. You were nothing but a pawn in my game." Grabbing his shattered phone, Joey runs out of the school. His heart shattering. Why does this keep happening to him? He let Daniel in, he put his trust into the boy he barely knew. Daniel knew more about him than he knew about Daniel. Looking down at his broken phone, Joey falls back against the same brick wall he once slept against, tears streaming down his face.

Making it to his apartment, he's surprised to find all his stuff in boxes outside the building. Sighing, Joey ties all the boxes to the bike and manages to get back to the brick wall. Laying on the cold cement floor, Joey breaks down. Tears were fleeting down his face, his hands were covering his throat. With shaky hands, Joey wipes off the makeup from his throat and squeezes his throat. Choking on air, Joey stops himself before his breathing permanently stops. He doesn't want to die, but maybe he deserves it.

Joey ended up sleeping on the cold cement ground, forgetting about having to go to work.

The next day at school, Joey was berated by almost everyone at school. He was laughed at, shoved into lockers, called horrible names, and harassed. All orchestrated by Daniel Preda himself. He watched with a huge grin on his face as Joey was getting harmed, sending more people at Joey. After third period, he decided to take matters into his own hands and walked over to the limping mute boy. "Well hello, Joseph" he smiled as Joey's body stiffens and starts shaking as he turns around. "I would wait for your response but it seems as though you have no way of communicating anymore. Shame. Looks like I'll just be the one talking here" Joey steps back, fear in his eyes. "I know you really fell for me, I saw the look in your eyes whenever I was around. It was just what I wanted. You falling for me was just what I needed."

Daniel pins Joey to the lockers "listen here mute boy, you're nothing to me. I don't love you, I never did. I took back your apartment if you didn't already know. You fell right into my trap and you didn't even realize it. Are you sad Joey? Are you disappointed? Are you hurt? If you are, I don't give a damn. I hope you are. Now, stay out of my way and we won't have any more problems. Got it?" Joey nods rapidly and scurries off, heading to his next class.
