Chapter 1

My P.O.V

"Oh, wassup Kelly," his friend, John said as he approached him and gave him a high five.
"Oh hey bro. How was your weekend?" Kelly replied back.
"Nothing interesting, I stayed home and watched some TV. What about you? What did you do?"
"I spent my weekend training with my trainer on my threes cause I gotta practice to become a perfect shooter," Kelly said as he dove into a deep wave of thoughts.
"That's cool man, I see the grind. How about we go challenge the other boys and play with them basketball?" John asked as he saw Kelly looking elsewhere.
"Kelly," John stated, but he still did not receive any attention whatsoever.
John was astonished Kelly wasn't paying attention to what he was saying. Kelly was too busy staring at a girl who seemed to be a new student and probably lost in the school.
"Ooooooh Kelly... Are you staring at this girl other there?" John said bitting his lower lips.
"Nah bro! I was just looking around," Kelly replied then shoved John jokingly.
"Bro you were clearly staring at her. You weren't even paying attention to what I was saying," John said raising both of his eyebrows and crossing his hands.
"Whatever," Kelly mumbled rolling his eyes and heading to class.

They both head to class and turns out that the same girl was there... Kelly recognized her from her dark brown eyes and her hair which was brown from the top, and dyed blonde in the bottom. She was wearing a cute black top, silver sandals, and dark blue jeans which really fit her body so well. Kelly felt his heart beating faster and faster every time he looked at her.
"Damn she's hot," Kelly exclaimed in his mind.
He was literally daydreaming instead of listening to the teacher's explanation.
"Is it right Kelly?" His history teacher asked, knowing that he was not listening, while frowning.
"Uhhhh yes sir, that is right,"
Suddenly, everyone in the class was laughing at Kelly and even his teacher.
He felt the severe embarrassment take over his body.
He certainly did not want a girl to distract him. Kelly always hid his feeling especially when it came to girls.
The bell rang, indicating that class had ended.
Everyone went out of the class relieved for they had been bored as hell in these 3 periods.

It was break time. Everyone was so hungry. They went to the cantine for lunch. Everyone got their food and sat down to eat, joke, and enjoy the moment.
Kelly went and sat with his group of friends as usual.
Karl, Andrew, Shawn, Joe, and of course John were there with Kelly.
"Y'all think LeBron James is going to the Lakers?!" Andrew said excitedly. He was a big Laker fan.
"Nah come on, he joinin' Philly. Lakers fan always dream and get nothing in return," Shawn said teasing Andrew, as he was a Philadelphia 76ers fan.
"Don't worry Andrew. The Lakers might have luck next year but well I hope not," Joe said teasing Andrew; everyone giggled.
"Stop teasing guys. The Lakers really might be good next year but I feel like he will stay in Cleveland," John said defending Andrew as he laughed.
"Anyways, what about you Kelly, who do you think LeBron will join in the off-season?" Andrew asked.
No! Kelly was too busy. His eyes were glued on the same hot girl he had seen earlier.
"Kelly!" They all shouted out loud at him.
"Sorry guys, I was just searching for the math teacher. I didn't understand the lesson, so I wanted to ask her a question."
"No Kelly you lying! You are staring at the new Brazilian girl. You clearly have a thing for her," his best friend John said and rolled his eyes.
"NAH! I never fall in love. Besides, she's not my type. Y'all know my type,"
"Come on bro! Now don't tell me that this hot girl isn't your type," Joe said while playfully pushing his shoulder.
Kelly's face turned red and everyone noticed that. He cracked up. He wanted to know her name.
"Ight what's shawty's name?"
"Maria," Andrew answered him as he took a bite off his burger.

"So do you like our school so far?" Nicole asked Maria as she smiled.
"Yes it's really cool. The teachers are less strict than my older school, but this guy over there keeps on staring at me," Maria replied back and smiled.
"Yeah that's Kelly Oubre Jr. The best basketball player in the school. He's hot!!! You're lucky," Nicole said as she waved hi to the boys on purpose.
"WHAT THE HELL NICOLE! STOP," Maria exclaimed in a silly and serious way at the same time.
"What did I do? I just waved hi to the boys,"
"You did that on purpose so you attract Kelly to me,"
"You're my best friends now and I want what's best for you. Kelly isn't only the best basketball player in our school, but he's also the most popular and most handsome. I mean just look at his killer eyes. They're so pretty and his tattoos look so sexy on him. And his hair," Nicole said shyly.
They both start giggling.
Lunch time finished. It's time to study 3 more hours before going home.

Maria went to bring her books from her locker accompanied by her new best friend, Nicole. Turns out that Kelly's locker is right next to hers. As she saw Kelly, she felt her heart beat so fast. She felt her cheeks turn red. She started blushing without even being flattered!
