Lissette's Pov

There's probably nothing worse than being dragged to parties and not knowing anyone or just not having fun because you don't want to get drunk and high to numb pain only for a short period of time.

I got up to leave because I'm really not enjoying getting smooshed in between people making out and dry humping each other. I walked towards the small corridor that led to the door with my head down so my best friend Nicki doesn't make me stay longer than promised.

It was just my luck. I was so close to getting out but instead I collided into someone back that could easily be mistaken for a brick wall. They turned around faster than I could blink and spilt whatever was in their cup all down my shirt. Before they even had a chance to yell at me I started to apologize.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to bump into I just really want to get out of here and.." I rambled.

"Don't sweat it," the boy with no name and a thick australian accent said. "here, take my jacket."

"Thanks, but I really want to leave so you can just keep it."

"I want to leave too, what do you say we go down to the boardwalk?" he offered

"That sounds great and all but for all I know you could be trying to kill me, I mean I don't even know your name." I said sarcastically.

He chuckled "I'm Calum, from Australia if you couldn't tell and you are?"

"I'm Lissette, from California as you can tell because I don't have a cool accent." 

"Sarcastic, I like you already." He smirked.

We headed out the door with me making sure I was actually watching where I was walking.

We walked to the boardwalk in silence saying it was only two minutes away, but i couldn't help but stare at him

He could get any girl he wanted with his tan skin,dark hair,and chocolatey eyes.

He caught me staring at him and said what every obnoxious teenage boy would say "Take a picture it'll last longer"

"What if I wasn't even staring at you?"

"Who wouldn't want to stare at me? I'm like a greek god"

I just rolled my eyes, patted him on the back, and said " I think you may have had just a little too much to drink but whatever helps you sleep at night"

"You are worse than my friends" He mumbled to himself.

I was scared to get know Calum because he may be a total dick once you get to know him, but I'll give him a chance. Everyone deserves a chance.

We sat in the cool sand for about an hour just sharing stupid things about ourselves and embarressing stories.

After a minute in silence I sat up on my elbow, looked him in the eye and whispered "You only know a part of me, I'm a universe of secrets."
