A/N - Song lyrics from the song (You're So Square) Baby I Don't Care by Elvis Presley

You and Dallas Winston had always been an odd couple, manly because of your differences. You were a pretty and petite soc who grew up in a respectful household that vauled going to church on Sunday and behaving well. Dallas, on the other hand, was a tuff and rough greaser. He grew up in the horrible streets of New York with no parental figure and when he moved to Tulsa he scared everyone with his cold dead stare. Except you, you just ignored the hood thinking he was no good until he helped save you from a drunk handsy soc. Everything about you guys are different, here are some examples.

Example #1

You sat in T-Bird humming to yourself as you waited for Dally to pay for gas, when he finally came his rough hands turned on the radio and turned it up fulling blasting the music as you rode down the streets. Your ears had begun hurting so, without asking, you turned it down. Even if Dally got in a pissy mood he wouldn't stay like that for long. He looked over to you "Does it hurt your ears, doll," he teased you rolling his eyes. You looked over to him shook your head ---
"No, it's your voice that hurts me the most,"  You taunted back.

He rolled his eyes again and put them back onto the road hitting a random station that begun to play Satisfaction by The Rolling Stones. Dallas nodded his head in tune with the song but instead you shivered away from it. Dallas liked rock music, you prefered classic. You looked over to him and he could feel your gaze "You gotta problem with my music doll?" He asked.
You pouted you lips "Kind of," you demurred. He looked at you with a smile - that's never good -
"Oh well, cause it's my car!" He boasted turning it up. Even if you didn't like it, you wouldn't change it, the price of seeing Dallas happy was enough. As the song went off you smiled at the next one, it was yours and Dal's song, Baby I Don't Care by Elvis Presley.

You don't like crazy music
You don't like rockin' bands

Example #2

You sat shivering as Dally walked off to go get a drink (and probably take smoke), it was different tonight. You and Dally usually stayed by yourselves, not wanting to deal with other people. You'd stay in his warm bed with his haunting gaze on you or you two would in your bedroom listening to cassettes. Tonight though, you had gone to the drive in movie (sneaking in of course) with Dally's friend Johnny and Johnny's friend Ponyboy. You weren't paying attention to the movie much, that was Dallas's fault, he never seemed to stop teasing you. You had gotten shushed by the girls in front of you in which you finally got Dal to shut it before he went to get drinks. As he came back you saw he didn't have any drinks, you weren't surprised though, he was probably just smoking. He sat next you and his arm found you shoulder and his lips were soon right next to your ear, you shivered feeling his hot breath.
"Cold doll? I could fix that you know,"

You rolled you eyes and looked at Dally, instead of being mean you decided to just kiss him. His arm fell to your lower back, and then it got lower, and lower. It eventrually was resting on your ass before he gave it a hard squeeze, with taking your lips off of his you grabbed his hand and brought it back up "You know the rules, sweetness," you teased him. He huffed and took his arm out from around you and shallowed into his seat. You rolled your eyes leaning over to him and kissing his cheek before you grabbed his hand and interlocked it with yours, watching the movie in peace soon after.

You just wanna go to a movie show
And sit there holdin' hands

Example #3

You and Dally had been driving around for about an hour before he finally parked on the side of the road. You looked around "This is forlorn," you said about the gloomy and isolated area. His eyes furrowed ---"What?" He asked, you looked over at his confused and smilled shaking your head slightly.
"Forlorn, it means lonely or depressed," You explained, he nodded and looked to his back seat
"Got new seats back there, you know," He said smoothly. You giggled --- "Why don't we got check those out?" You asked moving into the back, Dallas grinned.

It wasn't long until you were sitting in the (new) backseats breathlessly as Dallas lips wrecked havoc on your neck. Your lips had become swallowen from his rough kisses and his dyed redish pink from your bright red lipstick. As you let out a breath you slowly pushed Dally back "What? What's wrong, doll?" he asked looking at you.
You looked around at the empty road which had eluminated street lamps and a car that was coming flying down the road "I don't think we should be doing this here," you hesitated "It's going on the time people are leaving parties we might get in trouble," you told him. Dallas groaned, usually getting in trouble wouldn't worry Dally but he knew if you were worried this wouldn't be any fun "Can we just cuddle?" You asked with hopeful eyes. Dallas groaned and fell back against the door, he closed his eyes pulling out a ciggerate from his pocket. Before he could light it he felt your arms go around him, he opened his eyes to see your head on his chest. He wouldn't admit it but the small grin you had made his heart flutter.

You just wanna park where it's nice and dark
You just wanna hold me tight

You and Dally lay in his bed, your head on his bare chest as sweat fell from both of your bodies. It wasn't a "normal" night for you two, when you would come over you'd usually just talk with eachother and make out but tonight had been the night you decided to go all the way with Dally. He smirked to himself rethinking all the events over, how you felt against him, how you tasted, how innoncent you did - how he got to teach you everything he loved - who you trusted him enough to make you perfect just for him. You looked up at him "What are you thinking about?" You asked him.
"You." He answered fast and plainly, he looked down at you a small grin forming on his face. It was one of rare moments, one of the moments were Dally was genuinly happy. He couldn't help but notice that those moments were started come out more with you, and he would admit that, he would also admit that he hadn't been this happy since Sylvia and him were a thing. Without think Dallas did it, something he was always so scared of ---

"I love you, doll,"

And without thinking too you said something back --

"I love you too Dally,"

I wonder why I love you, baby
I guess it's just because

He wouldn't say it in public, and he surely wasn't going to marry you soon but between you and him you both knew that Dallas did love you. Despite everything that was different, and the struggle your two's beginning was, he loved you and you loved him. As you sat in his car with him driving to the DX Station you both hummed a song together. Your song and in happiness both you and Dallas looked to each other when your two's favorite line came on.

You're so square, baby, I don't care
