Max's pov
It's been a couple days since I asked out Preston. We even had our first kiss. It was amazing. It happened during a campfire me and Preston were sitting a ways away from the other campers. And we we're looking at the stars then Preston pulled my chin down and kissed me! I still can't believe it. The camp fire was just last night. And I've been happier that normal so I've been getting weird looks. David pulls me aside. " Uh Max I've noticed your behavior. Do you mind telling me what has you so happy?" He smiles. "I'm afraid I can't tell you" I tell David. "How come Max?" He asks. "Well I don't know how you'll react to it" "Max trust okay? Just tell me what's up" I swallow hard a but nervous to tell David. "Well a couple days ago I told Preston I had a crush on him and if he would go out with me. He said yes and we kissed yesterday at the campfire " I look up at David to see his reaction. He was smiling wide, stars in his eyes. "Aww Max! " He scoops me up and holds me in his arm. I squirm in his grip."Let me go!" He puts me down. "Max I'm so happy for you!" "Thanks " I mumble. He smiles."well I have a secret of my own?" I look up at him. "Who?" "Well I can't say who he is just yet. But you'll find out in due time." "Okay" Preston walks up to us. "There you are Max I've been looking for you!" Preston grabs my hand and leads me away. "Hello Preston!" David calls.
Preston's pov
I take Max to the back of the Mess Hall. I put my hands on Max's waist and he blushes. I lean in and kiss. He wraps his arms around my neck and we stay like that for awhile. This is amazing. Max is amazing. We are amazing. "Max? Preston?" We freeze and pull away from each other. Nikki was standing there staring at us. "Shit. Hi Nikki." "We're you two hugging?" She says innocently. I let out a sigh of relief. Thank goodness she's so innocent. Max nods."Yeah we were" Nikki smiles. "Aww how cute! I'll leave you two be " Nikki walks away and we go back to the way we were.
Max's pov
David decided to have another campfire which was fine by me. It's just more time to spent with Preston. We sat away from the campers again and made s'mores. We shared one, each taking a bit till we met at the middle, our lips touching.Preston giggles and I just blush. We finish our s'more and I rest my head on Preston's shoulder. He kisses my head. David pulls out his guitar and starts playing his camp song. Soon everyone joins in on the singing. Preston and me both look at each other and giggle. We join in hiding our voices among everyone else's. A car pulls up and the singing stops and we stop and stare. A man with Blonde hair and a white and blue clothing stepped out. "Everyone" David begins."This is my boyfriend Daniel." Everyone gasps. "No no no no..." I whisper freaking out. Preston starts rubbing my back."Ssh it's okay. Just breathe. Just breathe." I breathe in slowly. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Exhale. After doing it a few times I calmed down. David starting talking again."I know he's done some bad things in the past. But I believe he deserves a second chance." The campers and Gwen agreed. But not me or Preston. After a few more songs David sent everyone to bed. I called Daniel aside. "Hey Daniel long time no see. It's me Max. You came here 2 years ago. Anyway I see your dating David. But let me just tell you that if you break David's heart or if your going to hurt him or us him, I'll slit your throat." Daniel chuckles. "No need to worry Max. I'll take care of him." He pats my head. I growl and swipe a hand at him. "Come on Preston let's go to bed." He head to our tents."Wait Preston." I say before he walks into his tent. "Yes Max?" "Can we share a tent tonight?" Preston blushes."Uh yeah let me just uh... Get my stuff." He quickly gathers his things and lays down next to me in my tent. We smile and I rest my head on his chest and he rest his chin on my head. Eventually we fall asleep.
