"Weapon shopping~ weapon shopping~ looking at all the deadly weapons~!" I sang loudly, skipping beside Kashi and occasionally running up to windows when I saw something's that piqued my interest.
"Aren't you the little weapon lover?" Kakashi chuckled teasingly as he watched me press my face against a glass window.
"Dat axe doh" I said, my voice muffled as I stared at a threatening looking battle axe. It's blade looked like clear diamond and its handle looked the same. It was completely clear, the only thing making it visible being the sunlight reflecting off the surface.
"Hm?" He asked, stepping up beside me and peering through the class. "I don't see anything"
"It's right there, see?" I asked, pointing through the glass. He peered harder, but finally let his eye return to normal.
"Ah, it's so clear I missed it" he chuckled. "Lets go take a look"
"N-Nani?" I stuttered in surprise when he pushed me into the little shop. Inside were various weapons: kunai, shuriken, katanas, chainsickles, the works. My attention; however, was pulled back to the axe. It seemed to be..... Calling me somehow. I took a step toward it subconsciously.
"I see you have your eye on the Kyoshi battle axe" a deep voice said suddenly, making me jump and look at the man behind the counter.
"H-Hai!" I choked, still surprised by his sudden appearance. He chuckled.
"It has a story, you want to hear it?"
"Yeah" I said curiously. He smiled.
"It's said that that axe was made by a shaman, Kyoshi Wakarusan, who lived high up in the mountains here not even the bravest shinobi will venture" he began cryptically. I leaned in closer and he and Kashi chuckled at me before the man continued. "One night, he had a vision that the whole world would be brought to its knees by a mysterious evil force, and that one brave warrior would be the only one able to save the world. He created the axe from diamonds from the center of the mountains, spent his whole life making it. When he had its shape and right before he met his end, Kyoshi covered the axe in a magic potion, one that would activate the axe's hidden power when the one warrior that will save the world is near. Many have approached the axe to see if they were that special warrior, but they have all left unsuccessfully." He said. I looked back at the fragile looking weapon and the calling began again. It wasn't a voice or a sound, just something... pulling me toward it.
"What do you think Ko? Ko?" Kakashi asked, looking at me in confusion as I walked over to the axe, which seemed to tremble the slightest bit as I got closer.
"Can I... touch it?" I asked quietly, in almost a whisper as I gazed at the beautifully lethal looking weapon.
"Go right ahead, be carefully though" the man said.
"Okay" I muttered, nodding, before reaching out. The trembling of the axe got more violent as my hand got closer.
"What in the name of kami" I heard the man say in confusion as the weapon shook, looking close to falling off its stand at the force. My hand was a centimeter away when it's quaking somehow made the sodden stand splinter into countless pieces and it flew at me at lightning speed.
"KOTA!" Kakashi yelled in shock and worry. Just before I was cut in half by the battle axe, my hands instinctively whipped out and my fingers wrapped around the handle. The entire design of the axe suddenly changed, the blade turning blood red with a black and silver stripped handle as a skull appeared on the end of the handle and the blade transforming into a scythe like blade. The drastic change left me stunned and everything was quiet for a while.
"My kami......" An awed voice whispered, followed by a thud. I turned around and saw the guy had fallen to his knees, staring at me with his eyes impossibly wide and his mouth gaping. "You...... You're the warrior...."
Kakashi's and my eyes widened also as he stared at me and I just kind of stood there.
"Dafuq" I whispered, looking at the grimreaper type weapon in my grasp. Everything soon became uncomfortably silent. "I'm so awkward...." I mumbled.
Kakashi suddenly started laughing and I followed soon after. After a while, the guy joined us and the three of us laughed at the awkwardness of it all, the weirdness, it just seemed so hilarious at that exact moment.
"Alright, how much?" Kakashi asked the guy once we had all calmed enough to speak. My eyes widened.
"Oh, Kakashi, you don't have to-"
"Shush" he cut me off, chuckling.
"You can have it" the guy said, smiling as he got off the floor and dusted himself off.
"R-Really?!" I yelled.
"Hai, it rightfully belongs to you" he chuckled. "Is there anything else I can get you?"
"The almighty warrior needs some new kunai and shuriken" Kakashi joked. All I could do was stare at my newest weapon.
Man, I wish it was easier to carry, it's awesome but it's gonna suck having to carry it around all the time....
I pop sounded from my weapon as a puff of smoke clouded my vision.
"What's going on?" The guy yelled. I coughed and waved my hand to clear the smoke so I could see clearly. In my hand was now a hair clip in the shape of the scythe I once held. I couldn't hold back a grin.
"Coolest. Weapon. Ever." I said before using the clip to move my bangs to the side.
