The sun slowly sets and we still haven't made a fire. I try my hardest but not spark would come. We picked some coconuts so we can have something as a source of food. The attendant, Lenny rips out banana leaves for all of us as beds and blankets so we can keep warm during the cold nights. It soon became even darker and harder for us to see. I decide to take out my torch so nobody had to suffer from the darkness. We all ate and drank our coconut. Lenny was the only adult that was there and it was even tougher for her to deal with us especially in the state we were in. It was getting cold and the tide was pulling in. We had no fire to keep warm so we wrapped ourselves in the banana leaves and hoped that we wouldn't get stranded for long. Mia was crying her eyes out and everyone was trying there best to comfort her. Ugh. "It's all your fault, Mia! We could have used the pocket knife but you had to throw it!" "The whole world doesn't revolve around you," I mumbled.

I wished this could all be a dream and I never went here. I switched my torch off and everyone tried to get some rest. At least we were learning to survive.
