"Yay you made it!" Aurora exclaimed as she opened her front door to let me in. Honey greeted me when I walked in and shoved her wet nose in the palm of my hand. I rubbed her soft head and her red tail swished excitedly while Aurora closed the front door. Today I would be attending my first party in a long time, hopefully all goes well and I don't have to deal with a hangover tomorrow.

Aurora grabbed my small wrist and proceeded to drag me up the winding staircase, while I tripped up every step we took. I heard deep chuckling coming from the top of the stairs once we reached the landing. "Aurora if you keep dragging her like that you might break her," Zack said, his hand holding a strap to a back pack with a lacrosse stick shooting out the bag. Removing my hand from Aurora's grip I rubbed my sore wrist.

"Haha very funny Zack," she sarcastically laughed in his face and crossed her arms over her chest.

"I'm just saying, you were literally dragging her like a sack of potatoes." He pointed at me and Auroras eyes followed his finger to me. I knew they were being over dramatic about it, I am perfectly fine. She was just excited for the party and was ready to prepare for it.

"I'm fine can we just go get ready?" I asked, pointing toward her bedroom across the hall. I was so ready to just get going before I chickened out and decide to go home and watch a movie with Lily. Which sounded much better than listening to pounding music and watch people get drunk and do dumb things, but hopefully tonight Aurora can convince me to let lose and have fun.

Aurora childishly stuck her tongue out at her brother. "I'll see you guys at the party tonight," Zack said waving. I could hear Zack's retreating foots steps and the sound of the front closing when we entered Aurora's room. I still couldn't get over how nice and simple it was, this room was something I've always wanted to have. Nothing clashed and everything had a place and fit perfectly.

"So it's 7 o'clock right now, which means we have three hours to get ready for the party,"  Aurora said as she walked over to her white vanity. Her vanity had light bulbs surrounding the mirror, giving off good lighting. Also, heaps of makeup were organized in drawers. "Sit," she said to me pointing her finger down to the chair. I sat on the chair and Aurora spun me around so that I was facing her, and not the mirror.  That way I wouldn't see myself until she was done, Aurora told me. I was nervous, I hoped she wouldn't over do my makeup and make me look like a slutty clown.

Aurora got to work, picking up a straightener and starting on my hair. My hair was naturally a little wavy so this hair style was different. After finishing straightening my hair, I felt her part my hair in the middle and add a little hairspray to the top. I coughed as the hairspray fumes reached my nose. "Oops," She said giggling. After she said she finished my hair she started grabbing brushes and different makeup products applying some to my face as I closed my eyes shut.

After what felt like hours, she stated that she was "done with her masterpiece". I went over to her bed where I picked up the red dress I bought at the mall. I looked to my right and saw Aurora getting ready herself. I slipped into my red dress, it hugging my slight curves. The dress had two matching slits on the sides that was covered with red mesh, leaving enough for the imagination. I then put on some black 4 inch heels and smiled. I was ready. I walked over to Aurora's body length mirror and stared at the girl in front of me. I looked beautiful, with natural face makeup, and red lips. She thankfully didn't go overboard. The natural makeup really made my bright red lips pop and the black mascara made my long lashes look ten times fuller. My hair was straightened perfectly with a middle part, which made my hair have a very sleek look. Everything was more than I could have imagined, I loved it. "Wow this is amazing," I said as I ran my hands down my dress, smoothing out the slight wrinkles.
