Chapter 6
Truth
One afternoon we were sitting outside the balcony, waiting for the sun to set. We were lying next to each other's sides, I was touching his chest then he embraced me tight. I looked at him and he looked back at me, I smiled.
"Louie?"
"Hmm?"
"Ahm nothing." I shook my head and I sat down, hugging my two legs.
"Hey, what's wrong?" He get the strands of my hair that is hiding my face and put it around my ear, I stared at him, I felt distant and confused.
"You can tell me what's bothering on your mind right now, please don't hesitate."
"Okay." I smiled then he smiled back.
"It is about that girl last Christmas, I saw both of you kissed."
He kept silent, he just listened to me as I almost break myself into tears again
"You never told me anything about her til now. I was waiting for you to tell me but you never did. I was really hurt. I felt betrayed." I paused for a seconds then I breathe in heavily, I continued talking.
"I wanted to know why you pushed me away after your grandmother's burial. Then now you suddenly want me back. I always thought that I was never special in your life. I just can't figure out why you have to hurt me. I want to hear your side, can you honestly tell me everything?"
He took a deep breath and touched both of my hands, they were trembling. I am scared of what would be his reply. His touched made me a little bit calm.
"Delilah, my most precious Delilah. I am sorry" My tears started to fall.
"For everything that I had caused you pain. I admit that I was a jerk back then. I pushed you away just because of my grandmother's death, and I know it was the dam-nest thing I had done. I had blamed everything to you. I never realized how much it hurts you. "
I listened to him as I controlled my tears to stop falling.
"I haven't had enough time to be with my grandma because I have to look after you, to take care of you and I blamed you for that, and now, I am ashamed because the only thing you did was just to make my grandmother happy." He stopped for a moment and smiled. A bittersweet kind of smile.
"That girl you saw with me last Christmas is Anna, she is just a friend. That incident, I never thought she had a plan to kissed me. It felt so strange because I don't feel anything special to her. As we kissed my heart is searching for you, Delilah, seeking for you for a long time, then I heard someone ran and I was surprised that it was you. I guess you saw us kissed. I didn't mean to hurt you that way. "
"So, I pushed her away and ran to find you. I kept searching for you but you were out of my sight but I did not give up, then I saw you in the middle of the streets, clueless. You face was a mess, your eyes are tired and I know you wanted to give up. It hurts me so much, I didn't want to see you suffer, I pull you away from the cars that might hit you and you fell on your knees. You were unconscious, I brought you here and took care of you. "
"Then I realized I was so oblivious not to notice how I feel towards you, I made you feel like you were just a friend, and I never think of you as someone really special but now, I love you more than the sunsets and the perfect curves of the blue clouds above, I love you more than anything in this world Delilah and I hope you feel the same way as I do, because right now, I don't have any plans to let go of you." He kissed both of my hands and our fingers were locked to each other. We kissed like we had an intense connection as if we are one.
