Amber POV
“Amber, wait up!” Hana ran over to me, stopping only a few inches away. She hunched over trying to catch her breath.
“Why didn't you stop?” her face was still red from running, but now she was standing up fully.
“Are you talking to me?” I ask, looking around to see if there was anyone else around that she could've been talking to. Even though I had clearly heard her say my name as she ran up to me.
“Of course silly, who else would I be talking to?” she giggled. “Now come on, we’re going to be late for class,” entwining our hands together she began to pull me towards the classroom. I retracted my hand from hers, and stood completely still looking at her as if she’d grown two heads.
“Why did you do that?” I asked, holding onto the hand that she had held.
“What did I do?” she asked confused.
“You h-held my hand!”
“Well as your girlfriend I’m pretty sure I earned the right to hold your hand,” she looked at me as if what she said was completely normal.
“G-girlfriend!” I choked out. What the hell is happening? Now it was her turn to look at me like I was crazy.
“Yeah your girlfriend, why do you seem so shocked?” she asked taking a few steps towards me. “I mean we have been dating for like a year now.” She continued to advance toward me, but now I was slowly backing away from her.
This can't be happening. Is this some kind of sick prank?
She tried to reach for my hand again, but before she could grab it I quickly moved it away and held it to my chest.
“What are you doing Amber! Why don't you want me to hold your hand anymore?” her voice trembled as she spoke. She was really hurt by my actions, but I was to confused about what was going on to care. “Is this your way of saying you want to break up with me?” Now she was full on crying. People had begun to stare as they walked passed, and some of them even stopped to watch this trainwreck unfold.
“We were never together,” I said quietly.
What the hell is wrong with her just yesterday she was kissing me drunk, and now she's saying we've been dating for a year!
“Amber why are you saying this?”
*Beep Beep*
Before I could answer my eyes shot open. I looked around to see that I was in my bedroom, and no longer at school. Well the dream version of school. It was just a dream. Thank God it was just a dream. My heart was racing, it felt as if I had just run a marathon.
After slowly recovering from the shock of the dream I started to get ready for school. Today was the day I was going to have to face all of the problems I left at the party. I really didn't want to go to school but if I didn't I know Jackson would come looking for me and I just wasn't ready to tell him what happened yet.
After brushing my teeth and somewhat fixing my messy hair, I rummaged through my closet until I found some semi decent clothes to wear. Those clothes consisted of some dark blue jeans, a plain white t-shirt, and a black hoodie. I grabbed my glasses and backpack and made my way downstairs.
My mom still wasn't home yet not that it made much of a difference I hardly see her when she is home anyways. I grabbed an apple out of the almost empty kitchen and made my way outside. I began eating the apple as I made my way to the bus stop. I didn't bother waiting for Jackson to give me a ride because like I said earlier I don't feel like explaining to him what happened at the party.
While I was waiting for the bus I decided to check my phone for the first time since the party. I kept my phone off for the weekend because I knew the scene me and Hana caused at her party was going to be all over social media. I saw that I had 24 missed calls and 18 text messages from Jackson. All of which were asking me what happened and why am I not picking up the phone?
Damn that boy is persistent.
I decided to text him back.
A: Hey J I'm fine
Almost instantly I got a reply
J: Where have u been I've been worried sick
A: I've been at my house idiot
J: I've been at your house bout a million times since the party and you never answered the door
A: I was sleeping
J: Bullshit you always answer the door even when you're asleep you always get up
A: I really don't feel like talking about this right now J I'll see u at school
End of convo
Sighing I turned off my phone and shoved it into my pocket. A few minutes later the bus pulled up. I got on the bus and the long dreadful journey to school began. The whole time all I could think about was the dream and how bad today was going to be.
Why the hell did everything have to be so complicated!!!

A/N:Hey guys I don't really write these author note thingys I usually leave that to Creame, but I just wanted to personally apologize for the long wait and the short chapter.
I don't like putting out content I wouldn't want to read myself so I am sort of picky when it comes to writing for you guys and lately I've been having some writers block. I want to be able to make each chapter better than the one before and lately it's been pretty hard for me to do so.
I decided to give you guys this little filler chapter but I promise the chapters will get longer. And now I'm rambling so I'm going to end this here thanks for all your support we really appreciate it.
