Sam's pov
I didn't know where I was,all I saw was black and I hated it,it reminded me of the time when me and Jake went camping near the woods,he used to scare me by telling me ghost stories in the dark.
My thoughts were interrupted by a voice,"you've grown up so much"
I turned around to find a man there,power radiated from him,he was tall,with black hair,gray-black beard and Electrifying blue eyes,"who are you?" I asked him,"don't recognize your own father?"
My jaw dropped,"you're Zeus?" He nodded,my shocked expression immediately turned angry,my father didn't even give me a sign that he was still alive,even if he was a greek god,
"What do you want?" I asked codly,Zeus looked at me with sad eyes,"I understand that you're angry with me Samantha,but if your mother or me had told you what you are,monsters would have attacked you earlier and since you're my daughter you attract more monsters than an average demigod" Zeus advised.
My gaze softened,"you did it to protect me?" I questioned,"yes" he replied,"I'm sorry for snapping at you,its just I grew up without a dad while all my friends had one" I apologised.
Zeus nodded understandly,"now" I say,"can you tell me where I am and why I'm here?"
"Samantha don't you remember?"
I shook my head,no,my father walked over to me and put his finger on my fore head,I closed my eyes as memories flashed in my mind,Jason preventing me from seeing Leo,Leo saying he loves me,the Argo II being attacked,the manticore striking me with its tail and me blacking out from drowning"
I gasped as Zeus pulled his finger away,a tear escapes my eye,I didn't want to die,I wanted to find and Jake,I promised him that I'll find him and now I can't,I wonder what Leo's feeling right now,I missed him,my brother,everyone,"I-I'm dead" I stuttered
My father nodded,"but that's why I'm here" he advised,"the fate's are allowing you to go back because its not your time yet and you are destined to go on the quest to save your friend"
Suddenly my eyes lit up,I had a choice,I could see my friends again,Zeus began to flicker,"I can't stay much longer" he warned,"since I'm breaking my own rule,the gods aren't supposed to communicate with thier children"
"I want to go back" I admitted,he smiled,"very well Samantha,all you have to d-" I cut him off
"Wait!" I ran towards him and for once in my life I hugged my father,I know what you're thinking,you just can't go and hug the god of gods and the sky but this was my dad and once I understood why Zeus didn't tell me that he was alive I accepted him,
He hugged back and then pulled away,"be safe my daughter,now close your eyes and think about the thing that keeps you anchored to your life" dad advised,I instantly thought of Leo,his smile,laugh,dazziling eyes,I loved him.
I suddenly as if someone was pulling me across a border,as if half of me wanted to stay in the darkness but the other half was begging to go back,I was going to live,to survive,'remember my daughter not all that happens is your fault" I heard Zeus say before darkness took over once again.
