Leo's pov
I was working at bunker 9,when I heard someone scream,I immediately stopped and went to see who it was,a beautiful girl was fighting a hydra,I was about to help her but before I could,lightning shot out of her hands,the hydra was dead and she collapsed.
I quickly went to her side she really was gorgeous with crystal blue eyes and curly brown hair,I picked her up only to see her eyes begin to close,"Hey don't close those beautiful eyes" I say,I could see her trying,but failed she blacked out,I tried shaking her awake but of course it didn't work,I ran and went to the infermiry with the new demigod.
"She passed out due to shock" Will Solace advised,I didn't know why I was getting so worried,I don't even know her name but something inside stired and I vowed that I'll protect this girl no matter what.
Sam's pov
When I woke up I was in a room which i didn't recognize,a guy with curly brown hair was next to me,i tried began to get up but he pushed me back down,"Will said you have to rest," I nodded,"where am I?,what happened? and who are you?" I asked,"you're in camp half blood,a hydra attacked you and I'm Leo Valdez son of Hepheastus,bad boy supreme" Leo said to answer all my questions,
Thats when it all came coming back,my best friend was gone and it was all fault,I could have defeated the monster quicker,tears made thier way to my eyes,"hey don't cry" Leo advised,I shook my head,"I'm Samantha but call me Sam now can you tell me what I'm doing here?" I questioned,he nodded,"I can but it may sound crazy"
"You're here because you're a demigod/half blood,that means that one of your parents is a god or goddess" he said,I immediately started laughing,"are you crazy or something?" I asked,he shook his head,"no I'm telling the truth,thats why monsters started attacking you,I'm guessing that you have ADHD or dsylexia?" I was shocked how did he know that,"because you're a demigod" he said as if teading my mind,I looked into his warm eyes and some how I believed him.
"So who's my dad?" I asked,he shrugged,"since you're older than 13 you should be claimed tonight at the camp fire" I nodded,all these things were making me dizzy,Leo seemed to notice,"here" he handed me a glass filled with I guessed was apple juice,but it wasn't juice,it tasted exactly like my grandmothers chocolate/nutella cookies?" (I really want one)
"Thanks,what is this?"
"Nectar,food of the gods,if you weren't a half blood you'd be dead already" he replied,"now come on,the hottest guy in camp wants to give you a tour"
"Really?,when's he getting here?" I teased,"haha very funny,I'll have you know I'm the hottest guy in Camp" he said in confidence,"yeah what ever helps you sleep at night" I remarked
"And those are the cabins" Leo finished the tour,I also met some of the campers like Percy and Piper,Leo told me about the second great prophecy,Gaea...,"come on I want you to meet someone" Leo say,I nodded and we went in the big house,a man in a wheel chair came out,"Chiron this is Samantha Evans" Leo introduced,I glared at him for using my full name,"But please call me Sam" I say,"well nice to meet you,Sam,I'm Chiron I'm a centaur which means half horse so don't freak out if you see me like that" I nodded like everything was normal and that I wasn't a demigod.
"Leo why don't you show her Bunker 9,so she can pick her own weapon" Chiron suggested,Leo nodded "Wait you use real weapons that can hurt or kill people" I asked shocked,"well ofcourse Sam,then Camp wouldn't be fun" Chiron replied "come on Sammy lets take you to my cabin",I rolled my eyes at his new nick name for me,"sure thing Lee" I smirked.
"Welcome to Bunker 9" Leo says,"where pretty ladies like you are welcome" he says,Leo showed me tons of weapons but none of them seemed right,some were too heavy,thats when I saw it,a celestial bronze sword,on it was the word Astrapi,"Lightning" I translated,how I knew I don't know,"looks like we have a winner" Leo announced,I nodded and we went outside.
My stomach growled and I blushed,"someone's hungry" Leo smirked,thats when I realized it was about 8:00,I nodded then the conch horn blew,"dinner time",I sat at the Hermes cabin since I wasn't claimed yet I had to sit there,I looked at the Hepheastus table to see Leo looking at me,he blushed and looked down while I smiled,as I was about to start eating everyone got up and tossed half of thier food in the fire,"the gods like the smell" Connor from the Herme's cabin advised,"Dad please claim me" I said softly as I tossed it,thats when it happened,
A Lightning bolt and a bow formed above my head
All Hail Samantha Evans Daughter of the God of sky,Zeus and blessed by Artemis.
My jaw dropped.
