"Shaki.... Shakira.... Aishh, this girl has a lot of lazy bones." Sophia said while trying to wake Shakira up.
"Shakiiii! Shakira!!! Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll wake up." Jane shouted at Shakira's ear. Shakira sat up.
"Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll? I think I heard that before... Is that my name?" Shakira ask confused. That name seems familiar.
"Huh what are you talking about, Shaki? Jane said Shakira Get Up Or Else We'll Leave You Alone. Now get up. Its time for Mon Seniour's 'surprise thingy' I had a bad feeling about this." Sophia said ushering Shakira to get ready.
"Arghhhhh. I can feel something bad would happen. I can feel dinosaur in my stomach." Shane said pouting.
"You're just hungry, Shane. But seriously I had a bad feeling about this too." Jane said putting her hand below her chin.
"Okay now im having a bad feeling about this. If you three had a bad feeling then a disaster is coming." Shakira said as she get up to get ready.
"Yeah right, Faster Shakiiiiiiiii" The girls said. After a few minutes they went down and joined the children in eating their breakfast.
"So what is this 'surprise' Mon Seniour is talking about?" Shakira ask Sister Angelica as she mix her spoon in her porridge.
"Im not sure, adoption maybe." Sister Angelica said. Then after that Mon Seniour stood up and went to the stage in front of the room.
"Attention childrens, Attention." Mon Seniour said in the mic.
"What's going on? Is this part af the Hunger Games?" Shane ask. Sophia just shrugged.
"Today...... Eight couples will adopt a child. Isnt that wonderful!' Mon Seniour said happily and all the children clapped their hands nerrily except for Jane,Shane and Sophia, they have a shock and pissed look on their faces. "Hey girls, what's going on?" Shakira ask them. "Nooooooo! Its that time of that year again. Wherein kids leave the island and join their new 'family' in their new 'home'. " Shane said dramatically. Shakira gave her a confused look. "Isnt that suppose to be good? I mean kids get to feel what family is?" Shakira ask once again but Shane is too busy acting like its the end of the world.
"Yes its good, but for us three its the worst idea ever made in this island. We dont want to get adopted cause we dont want to leave the island and if we got adopted we would never see each other again." Jane said with a sad look on her face. "And now we have a new reason. If we get adopted then we would never see you again Shaki." Sophia said in a worried tone. Shakira started to get worried. "Dont worry girl's, there's a low chance you would get pick. Out of the three thousand children here there's a .1% that you girls would get picked." Shakira said trying to be positive.
The eight couples started picking. So far they picked Mike, Lea, Cris, Hailey, and Jake. Three to go. "Aish, they're so slow. Im hungry now." Shane complained. "Huh? We just had breakfast." Jane said giving her a crazy look. "I know, but the butterflies and the dinosaur in my stomach ate what's in my stomach." Shane said pouting. Then one of the couples went towards us and poke Shane in the shoulder. "Sophia stop poking me." Shane said not knowing who the person behind her back. "Sophia, cut it out. Stop poking-" Shane said then turned around. She got lost in her words when the Philippine-Japanese couple smiled at her.
"What's your name?" The woman said. "Im,......... Im Shane-that-doesnt-want-to-get-adopted." Shane said as cold sweat form in her forehead. The woman giggled, "Youre funny I like you." She said and grabbed Shane in her wrist and dragged her to the stage. "Kyaaaaa! Watashi hatai ikenai (I dont wanna)." Shane screamed Shakira tried to grab her back but the mass of the children there was not helping. Shane's scream caught a lot of attention. "Shane!" Jane and Sophia said together.
"I like that short haired one," The Armenian couple said. "I like that girl, the one with long hair." The couple from Portugal said. The Armenian couple took Jane and the other couple took Sophia. Shakira stood there dumb founded. There are thousands of children there. Why took the one who means everything to her.
"Sophia, Shane, Jane!" Shakira shouted. The Shane whispered something to the other two. They smiled at Shakira.
"Dont worry Shaki, we've got a plan." They shouted.
