CHAPTER 15 (DEAL..!)

After Mr.will finished telling details about our project he gave us free time to decide our topics. Jake looked at me so that we can get started with this whole project thing but I din't move or glanced at him even once, but then he finally decided to speak, more like order "Look here...!" I sighed and looked at him "What?" I asked annoyed..he rolled his eyes and continued " This whole partner thing is not liked by me either but let me make one thing clear to you kate, I always get A's never in my life I have got grades lower than that and because of you I don't want to ruin my record. So you like it or not, we are PARTNERS we have to work together. Let's get started." He took out a notebook and started writing " Can I tell you something? " I asked him, he looked at me for a second before nodding " That A's you were talking about...." I looked him in the eyes, he nodded for me to continue " They were actually not for your grades, that was abbreviation for ARROGANT and one more thing we will be together only for this class because I don't want to ruin any moment of my life spending it with you. So yes! Let's get started." I copied his tone smiling. He looked at me in disbelief and opened his mouth to say something but seems like he is out of words....." Let's have a deal ok? we both will not prank or insult each other, for this project let's work together in this.... u are on or not? " he said it all in one breath and I thought about it " Amm....!! Ok but just for this project ok and if you do anything then " he didn't let me finish " I won't. This is important for me too and if anything happens then the Final decision will be yours. It's a deal & I am a business man I really give importance to evey DEAL." I of course don't believe him so I took out a paper and wrote:

                   DEAL

I Jake Walter accept Kate Erric as my partner. I won't prank or insult her, if I would do it in any circumstances she is free to punish me without any questions. I will work as hard as I can.

I shoved it to him, he looked at it very carefully before saying " Are u kidding me? It's all about me doing everything!" I was looking at him in amusement when he took out a paper and wrote:

                   DEAL

I kate Erric am accepting this awesomely mannered man Mr. Jake Walter as my partner. In any case I will not insult or prank him and will work hard as possible for tjis project, if not he can make me do whatever he wants.

He handed it over to me and I was so not agreeing to sign on this but before I can protest he placed his finger on my lips, he leaned and smirked while his eyes boring into mine " I signed your paper now you behave like a good partner and sign it already." I pushed him away and signed on the paper. Then we did a professional handshake while saying together "DEAL".
