chapter 45 (The Happy Times)

I don't know what to do.....i didn't respond to his hug...i was shocked and suddenly very aware of this closeness....... he must have realised that I'm not responding as he tilted his head backwards "you know i can stand like this all but...we've got classes to attend"

I shift a but still his grip is firm.."I'm sorry that i hugged you without your permission but i promise.....i won't ever hug you unless you are comfortable with me like this." He says with so much seriousness in his voice and then let go of me.

It sort of felt bad to make him feel that way......well i was shocked But before he can leave the classroom I stopped him by grabbing his elbow.... he turned not looking directly at me....."Jake?" I said it but it sounded more like a question.... he looks at me with a sincere expression still not meeting my eyes....

"Jakee........" i called him again....this time he locked his eyes with mine....I smiled pulling him towards me...."What Idiot told you that I'm nit comfortable with you hugging me" with that i hugged him....he returned the hug exactly ten seconds later....i bet he was shocked but then we stood there smiling for some more min. Before i pulled.

Soon as I let go of him...it felt cold....i shrugged at the feeling...i started moving out with me without any word.

"We're already late for our next class....so wanna skip the day....? I'll just text Alex to inform this.....he will surely make an excuse." He looked at me for answer....well i thought for a minute then just nodded a Yes.

"Today....is lucky for sure." He winked at me....making me blush but i quickly covered it with a cough.

"It's cute you know" he tells me as we get into His car....I'm confused
What is cute? His car?

I asked him before thinking anymore "what's cute? The car?" He laughs shaking his head while starting the engine.

He pulls on the road and then....replies "it's cute when you blush...so next time don't try to cover it with a cough."

He looks at me then back to the road....i sit there not wanting to say anything.......we just listen the songs and then after ten minutes he stopped the car.....i forgot to ask him where are we going but the answer is right in front of me.....A BEACH...we're at a beautiful beach......actually we are the only ones here..

"It's beautiful." I state folding my arms......

"Yeah it is." He agrees.

I tilt my head to where he is looking ans find him staring at me.

I feel the blood rushing towards my cheek but then i smoothly changed the topic.

"I didn't know that you plan our date so soon."

"It's NOT our date." He emphasized on the word Not.

He continues"I just like the beach....it's clam... helps me think. Let's sit here for a while then we can grab some lunch...okay..?"

"Oh...!shoot!" I remembered that i took my breakfast with me instead of eating....i totally forgot about it.

"What's wrong....is it something i said?" Concern was filled in his voice.

I just smiled to him....seeing how much someone can care about another someone.

Wierd. Though i shook my head in No.

"I forgot to eat my breakfast."

"Oh...okay. so we can go have get something to eat." He says ensure whether of what i want.

"No..silly i have it in my bag. I'll just get it...so we don't have to starve till lunch."

He laughs pointing to a tree "Go there and make yourself comfortable....I'll bring your bag." He left with that.

I moved there and saw a blanket already lying there..besides this tree.....i quickly took off my footwear's and adjust the blanket before sitting on it.

"What do you have in here...? It weighs more than my dog." He sit besides me passing the bag.

"You have a dog?" I asked raising my eyebrows.... I've been to his house but never saw a dog around.

"Yeah....you didn't get to meet him as he's with my cousin more often"

"Jake...? We don't know much about each other.....actually we don't know anything." I asked but also stated.....i think....the only thing i know about him is that he has a brother....he's rich and a jerk sometimes.

"Yeah...n that's why we should hang out more often." He took my hand into his.

I chuckled inside my head with the idea that just came uo in my mind.

"What are you doing JAKE?" I asked harshly

He looked at me confused....i stare at the our hands.

He quickly lets go of my hand. A frown makes it's way to his face.

"Sorry"

"No...Jake i don't need your sorry. Explain the moment please." I glared at him....he looks a bit scared.

"Shit...! kate...don't be mad please."

"You don't have manners do you?"

He looks hurt. Okay now i think i should stop kidding with him. This guy is actually getting scared.

"That's what you were expecting right. I mean chill dude....we're cool. I'm not as you think....and for knowing me....yeah! we should hangout more often" I said lightning the mood adding a chuckle at the end.

He stared me with wide eyes....then it took him a little time to realise that I was kidding.....

I wiggled at him but he just looks away.....I chuckled at his childish behavior but then I took his hand in mine...

"You Really are scared that you might upset me" i asked him giving his hand a squeeze.

He just look at our hands and nods.

"Then don't be....because the only thing that upsets me....is why you didn't show me this side of you.....before." I completed making him look at me....so that he knows I'm not kidding anymore.

Slowly a smile makes it way back on his face...."thanks....and yes, for knowing i really need more time than i thought."

We ate sandwiches that i brought....we actually shared food.....which i obviously don't do with anyone. But i did share.

I smiled then we chatted about all random stuff like....our likes and dislikes.

All this time...Jake didn't leave my hand...he kept drawing circles with his thumb....every one of them making me shiver....

After two hour's of talking and laughing, i heard a weird voice which was definitely coming from his stomach.... i bet he's hungry. We both laughed at this and decide to have lunch.

And Just like that....i realise that maybe it is the starting of my Happy times.
