"But none of it would be as stupid as telling you." I roll my eyes at him. I can't believe he is still trying to get away with it that easily.
"I'm still waiting." I say.
"Fine, suit yourself." He seems to be gathering the final courage to tell me. "I might like you a little too much for my well being..." I frown as my great rate increases rapidly.
"You mean...?"
"I have fallen for the amazing person you are, yes." My breath hitches in my throat. I start to stutter something I don't even understand myself. "You don't have to say anything Julia, this was probably the last thing you expected to hear, but now you know it, would you like to get dinner with me somewhere in the near future?" I swallow hard.
"Like a date?" Pierre nods. I am just so shocked I have no clue of what to do anymore.
"Why don't you think about this for a little." Pierre stands up and smiles sweetly at me. "Let me know what you want in a few days. No matter what your decision will be I will respect it." I nod and Pierre walks away. I get my phone out and I text Annie, thank goodness she should be done working for the day.
