After a dreadful long flight, we are finally on Australian soil. Thanks to some technical difficulties in the plane, we had to make an extra stop and our flight took at least six more hours than we initially had planned. That all caused us arriving at a time where we couldn't check in the house we had booked for our holidays and we have to stay in a hotel for the night.
"I am exhausted..." I mumble and I let myself fall onto the bed. Stoffel chuckles and looks on his phone.
"Yeah, not to annoy you, but you might want to call your brother, he has called me seven times." I sigh. I forgot to tell him we have had some delay on our way since both Stoffel and me have turned off our phones to just talk and play some games of cards while talking some more. I roll onto my back and give Stoffel a pleading look.
"Can't you call him. He will be fine hearing from either of us that I am fine and we..." Before I can finish my sentence, Stoffel already hands me his phone and on the screen, I can see he has already called Max, I just need to answer it. "Thanks a lot." I bring the phone to my ear and the second I hear Max's voice I try to calm him down. "Max, don't worry, we are both fine."
"Thank goodness Julia! Why didn't you call me back?!" I explain the whole story to him. "Well, have fun then. And just so you know. The fact that I'm angry at you doesn't mean I don't want to miss the information on whether you are fine or not." I softly chuckle.
"Copy that. Thank you, I'll talk to you later, firstly I am going to get a lot of sleep."
"Bye Julia." We end the call and I look at Stoffel.
"I'm not even going to get changed," I tell him before crawling underneath the covers. Stoffel follows my lead and I cuddle up against him.
"Sleep well." He mumbles and presses a kiss on my hair.
"I believe that won't be a problem," I say before dozing off.
