I was staring out the window, trying to take in the view of this beautiful place. As we were passing by I saw a cute fruit market that I just knew I had to go to.
Shortly after, the car stopped and we got off. My mouth dropped at the sight in front of me.
It was gorgeous. These people are unbelievable with their huge ass houses and beautiful views. How much money can one person have?
There was a sort of road and at the end of it there was a tall metal gate. Behind said gate was a long and narrow pool looking thing. It was surrounded by flowers. Surrounding I was an impossibly big house. It looked like it could fit all of LA inside. I was mesmerized by the view in front of me.
"Welcome to your home," Lorenzo's voice made me jump.
My home?
"My home?"
Aurora, who was right next to him, looked at me and smiled, "Yeah, this and much more."
I smiled back, not because I liked it but because I was nervous. Something in me wanted me to give Lorenzo and Aurora a chance, because they seemed to be incredible people and because I kind of just really wanted to.
But another part of me felt like I was betraying Michael and Mariana, the people who raised me and made me who I am. They gave me all their love and support and never let me feel less because I wasn't their real child.
So moving on and just being all happy with Lorenzo and Aurora felt wrong. I was lost and didn't know what to do.
What was I supposed to do? I couldn't not do what I wanted because of the people who raised me, but leaving them in the past felt so wrong.
Not only that but I can't help but wonder why Aurora and Lorenzo left me in the first place. Why they didn't want to keep me around for 13 years only to then hop back into my life like nothing happened. It was all so messed up and I didn't know how to handle it.
Once again I felt a hand on my back and turned to see Mateo. And on my other side was Gabriel. I smiled and we began walking.
We got to the house after about fifteen minutes because the walkway was too long. You could run a fucking marathon from the house to the first gate because it was that long.
Lorenzo took out the keys and started opening the door. When he did, on the other side was a young looking girl, maybe in her mid-twenties. She had a blue circle skirt and a white crop top, she had tanned skin and big brown eyes. Her hair was blonde and up to her shoulders. Behind her were two men dressed in black and I noticed the guns on their waist almost immediately.
"Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Bianchi," the girl said very happily.
"Hello Kiara" they both said in unison.
Kiara made way for them to cross and Lorenzo went straight to the men, it looked as if he was ordering them.
"Hey Maty. Hey Gabe," her jolliness pulled me away from my thoughts.
They both said hey and smiled.
"Oh! You must be Anastasia! What a beautiful name, God You're so beautiful."
I didn't know what to say so I blurted out an inaudible thank you.
Mateo laughed and Gabriel interjected, "careful Ki, you'll scare her"
She laughed and then apologized to me, I told her it was okay and then we finally went inside.
The inside of this house was even better.
It was all so gorgeous and expensive looking. There were to staircases leading to a second floor and right under them was a living room type space. It had four couches surrounding a coffee table and beyond that was what looked like a kitchen.
