**TW: THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS A SCENE ABOUT SUICIDE**
"I wasn't aware of her skills, that's not fair."
We had been in the gym for around an hour and Lorenzo wanted to see how good my fighting was. We started out by him showing me the boys fighting and saying I need to be better than them. He said fighting was a crucial part of this job. He said I might not need it because any kills would be from afar but that knowing how to was mandatory. He told me to go against Mateo and see if I could at least punch him.
I ended up kicking his ass and now he was whining.
"Come on Mateo, try harder." Lorenzo said while laughing.
"I did! She's like a female Hispanic Jackie Chan! I can't do that again!"
I giggled at his amazement with my skills.
"Mateo got beat by a girl!" Gabriel pointed and laughed.
I went up to him and stood right in front of him.
"Is there a reason why that should come as a surprise? Do you wanna get beat by a girl too?"
He took a step back and raised his hands in surrender, "Nah, I didn't mean it like that. I'm all for it. Yay feminism! Yay girl power, you know."
I rolled my eyes and walked away.
"I see you're no an amateur to fighting," Giovanni pointed out.
I shrugged, "Fighting kind of courses through my veins."
Lorenzo nodded, "yes it does."
"You don't get this good overnight, so how did you build up to it?"
I turned around in shock to see Nicolas speak.
The whole time he has just looked at me fight and nod my head at Lorenzo's words.
I shrugged again, "if there is anything I remember its that I have always, one way or another, fought. Michael and Mariana always had us enrolled in classes. Jonathan enjoyed street fighting more that martial arts so he dropped out of them and Jessica hated fighting altogether so she left. I, on the other hand, loved any kind of self defense so I took interest right away. I've been enrolled since forever and became a black belt in Karate and Taekwondo when I was around thirteen. The instructors loved me and said I was the best."
They looked amazed, like I was the last person they would expect that from. But when I looked at Nicolas he just looked like he knew I was hiding something.
"Alright, take a break and then come back and keep practicing. I'm gonna have to teach you about guns and how to use them."
I smiled sheepishly, "actually..."
Lorenzo's mouth gaped open, "what now?"
"I actually know how to use guns already. Michael insisted that we all learned, so I know lots. He wouldn't stop until we got close to perfect aim. Which means I can hit bullseye from a moving vehicle with no problem at all, and long distance is also not a problem for me."
He looked almost sad. I guess he wanted to teach me something, but being the moron I am didn't let him.
"Is there anything you need help with?"
I looked him in the eye, "killing another human being."
He looked at me with a soft expression, "we'll work on that, I promise."
Lorenzo headed towards Giovanni and left me all alone.
"Liar," I felt his breath fan my neck.
I turned to see Nicolas smirking at me.
