She is beautiful and she is well aware of it. Camille Ricci was born in a family with high status and immense power. She knew that her best weapon was her pretty face and voluminous body, and she always used it to get what she wanted. At the age of twenty she was to be married with Damien Romano, one of the most ruthless and powerful mafia lords in Italy.

A great wedding was planned. Many people congregated for the sole purpose of attending this glamorous event and giving their respect to the newlywed couple. This is how it was supposed to be. However, to Camille it all seemed like a mine battlefield. All men had long left the ballroom, while their wives were gathered around the bride, congratulating her, as their jealous glances hid perfectly behind those false smiles. Some envied her for the simple fact that she got lucky enough to marry Damien, others saw her as an insignificant insect who wasn't worthy of their attention. There were also the unmarried girls from the lower branches that wanted to curry favor.

To another person this whole scene might have been disturbing enough to make them nauseous, but she loved it. She loved being the center of attention for those women who two days ago didn't even know her name. She loved the five carat ring and diamond earrings she was currently wearing. But most of all, she loved that white dress which was the proof of her victory. There were so many women who yearned to be in her place, in his arms. There were even more who wished to have her now just gained surname, the key to a tremendous power.

She was surrounded by schemes and hypocrisy, but a sweet smile was floating all over her face. It was beaming with genuine excitement only for one sole reason. BECAUSE SHE WON. She won him and all he possessed... or so she thought.

Damien Romano was definitely a sight to swoon for. He was extremely handsome, but somewhat cold .It was understandable since his wife had died recently. They both knew that this was a political marriage made only for the purpose of bonds, but she wanted him. Camille wanted his heart, because for her the impossible was the best thing to obtain. Unfortunately, all her dreams were ruined when she found out about that girl's existence.

Reina Romano, the only daughter of the man she desired, the queen of the Romano mansion and heir of an indescribable fortune. Have you ever felt everything taken away from you when you didn't even had the chance to fight for it? Camille did. A little girl took the title that was rightfully hers, simply by being born.

She lived for years in an apartment in New York, without having the chance to even glance at the luxurious mansion she dreamed on living at. Camille became pregnant the first month. She couldn't even describe the joy she felt when the news that it was a boy were spread. His birth brought many hopes to his mother's dreams, but who could have thought they would shatter so mercilessly. Her husband refused for them to move out.

"He has all he needs here. The only thing you have to do is take care of my son, nothing else." He said.

The Romano's successor was born, but they kept living in New York. A year later she gave birth to a girl, but they still didn't move. Camille's authority was lower than a servant's. She felt like a mistress who only had to take care of children, but whose reputation was debased in everyone's eyes. Each year she insisted. Each year she found different excuses for them to go to Italy. Each year she craved for more and more power.

"Maybe she will feel more comfortable around her siblings. She might feel attachment towards them."

This was the pretext that turned into a crucial change of events. Camille sputtered this nonsense when she ran out of reasons, but who would have thought that her husband stiffened in response.

"They will surely love her, after all they have the same blood. Children tend to socialize quickly with each other. I'm sure Scott and Jasmine are going to..."
