I have plenty of book ideas that I would like to give out to others. It might help new people around here. The ideas that come from me will have my name at the bottom of the chapter.

This is a story about a college ill post the stats here but it up to you what you want to do with this information and college:
THIS COLLEGE IS IN POST GLOBAL WARMING

in case of emergency:
Since it is off the coast of Malaysia (close to China) it is protected from tsunamis by the many small Indonesian islands. In exchange for recycled goods and other handcrafted objects, China and Malaysia are more than happy to support the college in times of need (providing the college with emergency medical supplies for examples).
Barely any earthquakes due to location. Hurricanes and tornadoes are also quite rare.
The only issue could be sunlight but the shade provided by the solar lamp prevents the key functions of the building from overheating.
Perks:
Most sustainable college so far
Promotes and encourages hard work over materialistic values
Promotes free speech
All objects that are sold in the shops are handmade by the students and 10% of the money is sent to charities.
All food is homegrown
90% of vaccines are mandatory but 10% is optional.
Therapists are free and students can apply for courses on therapy skills.
Any medical supplies are renewed on the 5th of march but most of the cures that you can get for common colds or warts. You know the common easy things that usually require a strepsils and some antibiotics. Are treated using home remedies in order to prevent the human race from creating super viruses (viruses that are able to withstand antibiotics.)
The med bay not only treats patients with physical injuries but also mental illnesses and disorders.
The med bay even has an eating disorder ward.
Students are provided with an apartment like a dorm.
Applying for a roommate gives you two extra credits.
Animals are not banned but are not encouraged either. If you think you are able to take care of an animal while working and studying then go ahead. If not then the animal will be confiscated.
Support animals are an exception though.
How it functions (society):
It runs on a communist like ideal mixed in with a bit of capitalism and meritocracy. Regardless of this everything is shared with the people. All the food products grown in the garden are sent to the canteen and the honey made in the false garden is free for anyone to use. Same goes with the education. Teachers get paid using food and shelter (they get to stay in the college) and instead of having mandatory jobs like the students. Their job counts as how many lessons they teach and the oversight that they provide over the students.
The students enter the school with a certain amount of credits to pay off. An entry fee of sorts. This ensures that only hard working and motivated individuals join the college. Instead of paying with real money they have to apply for a job and pay off the fee by working and getting promoted. As soon as the fees are paid off the person starts to receive small amounts of credits (to save up and use wisely) as a form of pocket money. Credits can be exchanged for goods and other things such as clothes from outside brands. Please do note that food and clothes are provided by the college so the spending of credits on materialistic items isn't necessarily promoted but instead an added bonus. The most nitty gritty jobs are the highest in credits (this helps encourage people to join the composting section and other similar jobs that keeps the campus clean.
When students graduate they get an option of staying and working at the college or moving on to join the real world and help make a change in society. Since our college is quite popular and high ranked worldwide we assure our students the opportunity to settle into society quite well.
Machinery: - The air sub
The airosub uses the really strong pressure and powerful ocean winds to help power a subway like tube all across the facility. The wind is collected in small pipes from the top of the life tile and across nooks and crannies (as not to bother the everyday people). The airosub is one of the most sustainable parts of the tower and stops at all the key blocks. The light used in the train also comes from the wind energy harnessed.
Daisy Dam
The daisy dam is the latest technology from Harvard University. (this particular one also has add-ons made by the MIT to make it less susceptible to the harsh weather. To simplify, the Daisy Dam is a massive wheel like object. It is lowered on a rope, the rope becomes solid (not as loose) when it comes into contact with water to prevent the daisy dam from moving too far from the building. Daisy Dam uses the powerful ocean currents to spin and generate energy. It also managed to get hourly statistics about the weather conditions, depth and the amount of fish in the area.
False Garden
The false garden isn't really as false as it sounds. It simply isn't man-made. 88% of the flora and fauna in the 'False Garden' is made from self-reproducing grass like fabric. This is done to reduce pests that could live in the garden as well as to keep it in control without really having to mow the lawn every three months. To keep the fabric alive all you have to do is provide it with uv light rays (sources could be UV lamps or sunlamps). The fabric absorbs the light and uses some of it to produce oxygen and some of it to repair any damage the fabric grass could experience. The leaves on the trees are also made of a similar fabric but with modifications that make the exterior shell-like structure tougher and allows them to produce more oxygen. The flowers, however, are all natural and they are well maintained to help support the bee colony (in hopes of preserving species of bees in case of nationwide catastrophe). There is a special section of the garden dedicated to the insects meanwhile everything else is open to the public to do whatever they please as long as it obeys the code of rules.
SKY hub lessons
The college is massive and you will be surprised how little teachers there are on campus. We use SKYhub lessons to replace substitutes and speciality courses such as first aid/medical courses and things such as complicated arts courses. SKYhub was originally launched in 2017 to help educate students in third world countries and provide them with education through video sharing webhubs. However, nowadays SKYhub has been reevaluated and changed to provide the highest quality of education. It is similar to youtube but 90% of the videos on there are made by professors and teach courses that you could only previously get by attending Harvard. This helps keep our education high quality but at the same time available to all regardless of class. This also helps keep our campus less cluttered
Toob housing (similar to japan's tube hotel)
We understand that students get tired too, that's why we installed The Toob. Small tube like beds similar to the one room hotels in Japan. Students have to enter their details, set a timer and get cosy. The easy to access beds allow students to return to their classes better rested than ever before. You can find these Toobs near the "False" Garden and also near med-bay and business district.
