"Let me grab it for you," Kaneki turned back towards the table and let a small smile make its way onto his face. 'He accepted my offer,' he thought. 'Now it's his turn to make a move.' Kaneki picked up the other cup of coffee and brought it over to Ayato who was now leaning against the door frame.
"Thanks," Ayato took the cup and sipped the coffee inside. Kaneki grabbed the chair sitting next to the door and sat down before taking a sip of his own coffee.
"So," the white haired ghoul started. "Why have you been watching me recently?"
"W-What!?" Ayato almost dropped the cup he was holding. "I haven't been watching you."
"Really?" Kaneki stared into his coffee. "You were just watching me but a minute ago. Also, I've been able to spot you without you noticing." He took a sip of his coffee and glanced up at Ayato. The blue haired ghoul turned his eyes from him as a strong blush sneaked its way across his face.
"The truth is," Ayato looked at his cup of coffee as he spoke. "The truth is... I... I've had... Ever since you decided to join Aogiri I've..." He couldn't seem to get the words out and Ayato's blush just got worse as he stumbled on his words. Finally, he just took a deep breath and started over.
"Ever since you decided to join Aogiri, I've had a crush on you," he confessed. "And I wanted to get to know you better, so I started watching you make coffee. I guess I waiting for you to offer me some so we could drink it together." Ayato looked over at the other ghoul. "Just like this."
