This chapter will be in Third person POV
Isabelle sat down in the council room, her head spinning, not sure of what to say or do. The three men standing in front of her, supposedly there to protect her. Her uncle, ready to declare war, start a rebellion. She is the reincarnation of a god. Three beasts that are also men, there to serve her. How could anyone come close to comprehending this? she was sure this wasn't true until Tristan came along, said the same exact thing."Your grace we should hold a meeting, take the necessary precautions if Francesco really is going to come here for war" Jacob spoke in a concern yet demanding tone, the first one to break the silence as the other two men were seated at the table. One was focusing on the queen while the other was seemingly dealing with his own demons. the fact that he could shapeshift into a Bear bigger than a tree and stronger than a castle wall.
Isabelle didn't react to what she was told; no she had other plans in mind. And as selfish as it seems, she needs to protect her family first. She needs to send them to safety. Her two little sisters.
She took a deep breath
"Jacob... take Mary and Charlotte, and send them to Valore. Where mother is. Keep them safe"
"But your grace-"
"Do as you're told"
Jacob's instinct was always to obey the queen and he did just that, regardless of not agreeing with what she has to say, but it's her family. Her only family she has left, and she'd do anything to protect them. He knows that more than anything. Most of the days Isabelle never had time to spend with her siblings, and whatever time she had left, she would secretly watch her youngest baby sister play with the dukes' and duchesses' children, tears in her eyes. but she tries her best to hide it. Hide that she's screaming on the inside, wanting to be free, but the sense of duty to keep her head up and protect the people and her kingdom was too strong. If only she knew she wasn't alone. Jacob will and was there for her, he knew everything about her. More than Isabelle was aware of. He'd protect her with his life, no one makes him feel the way she makes him feel. If only she knew.
"I'll see them before they're sent off" she said without looking at Jacob's face, very clearly hiding her tears. Aedric happened to notice too, as he quickly looked at Jacob, as the two men shared a similar concerned look. They may not have anything in common except for the queen, which is the only thing keeping them from killing each other.
"We should look for the Phoenix, before we break the news to the people" Aedric spoke, to break the tension in the room.
"How do you reckon we do that?'' Jacob replied in disbelief, he still doesn't believe about any of this aside from the war that's about to happen. He doesn't trust the men that are sitting close to the queen, it makes him anxious almost.
"It's not strong but I can sense him here, somewhere in Swiok Frary, close to the castle"
"what you can sense him? like a dog?"
