Everyone has gathered around the queen as she was seated in the council room. All three of her guardians, Aedric, Tristan and Lena stood right behind her, emitting nothing but extreme vigilance.

Lena, her hand in a fist, ready to conjure fire. Next to her stood Tristan, ready to crack every bone in his body to shift into his bear form all for the protection of his queen. Aedric stood on the right of Lena, his Hydra flying above the castle, one second away from crashing into the room. And Jacob, stood right beside the queen, his hand on his sword, ready for anything.

They all glared at Francesco, sat opposite the queen as he await for her answer.

All Isabelle could see was her father in him, how could she speak to him without emotion overtaking her?

Francesco paid no attention to the ones in front of him, attempting to intimidate him. And he'd be lying if he said they weren't.

"Let's say i accept your allegiance. What will you offer?" Isabelle directed.

"I know of the Gronzerich's whereabouts, them and their 58 men. All camped at the south of Sundaros. It'll take them 5-7 days to get here"

"58? they plan to rage war with just 58?" prodded Aedric.

"No. there'll be more. They know the civillians have been evacuated, they underestimate you your grace"

Jacob glanced at Isabelle. she doesn't seemed fazed by it. Something else is on her mind.

"How can i trust you uncle?" her words laced with hope and sadness. At that very moment she couldn't care about anything else. She just wants her family back.

Jacob let out a small smile. She's made a decision, and it's what SHE wants.

Francesco widened his eyes in shock, he could feel the hope in her voice, the hope and her sadness. Tears welled in his eyes. He should've been there for her, He needs to be there for her. He will do whatever it takes for her to trust him.

"Whatever it takes, I'll do whatever it takes for you to trust me Sabbie" He beseeched, as a tear slipped through his cheek.

Isabelle suddenly stood up from her seat which resulted in the three Guardians to share a puzzled look with each other. The queen's gaze still fixated on her uncle. Francesco followed his niece's actions and stood from the seat as well, and before anyone could say a word Isabelle rushed into the arms of her uncle. The whole room grew silent.

Francesco didn't expect this from her, he expected the worst as he entered the kingdom. He thought he'd be beheaded for conspiring against the queen. Yet here she is, in his arms, like she was when she was an infant.

Overtaken with emotion he hugged her back.

"Welcome home" she whispered. Momentarily forgetting the perils ahead.
