"Woah! Are you sick? You were always too lazy to bring your own food" Seohee teased as she held my forehead with the back of her hand

"Yah! I'm fine" I laughed

My gaze suddenly met Chen's. Our gazes stilled.

"I'll be okay" I smiled

Chen's face relaxed as he gave me a small smile of relief.

It was time to let go of the past.

I couldn't blame Chen that he couldn't reciprocate the feelings that I have for him.

If us couldn't happen, I wouldn't want our friendship to wither as well.

I'll be contented with it.

Class went on for hours and we all breathed out as the bell rang, signalling our break.

We went our way to the canteen as the usual chattering on halls were heard.

"Did Ara and Chen break up?"

"Rumors say that they weren't really together."

"They're just friends, I guess?"

"Aw I want a sweet and handsome friend like Chen too!"

I just rolled my eyes internally as I gave out a soft chuckle.

Funny how people try to meddle with other people's lives isn't it?

We arrived at the cafeteria and sat at our table.

"I'll just go buy drinks, Ara-ssi, what would you like?" Chen asked like he usually does.

"Uh remember what I told you?" I told him, reminding him that I told him to stop buying stuff for me.

"Oh! Uh yeah. I'm sorry" He said as he scratched his nape.

"Yah! Loosen up a bit, I'm fine. Really." I said as I gave him a pat on the back.

Seohee just looked at us, confused.

"Seohee-ah, we'll just buy drinks. Anything you like?" I asked her.

"Oh! No thank you! I'm on a diet and sweet drinks make me fat." She said as she pouted cutely at us.

"Okay then, we'll be right back." Chen said as we left the table to head to the canteen stall.
