Laila had left the table, walking away to the guys table. Audrey had looked at her as she walked away, but she decided to go back to messing around with the food on the lunch tray. She pushed around her mashed potatoes with a spoon.

Audrey figured she might as well go after her. She still needed to know what was wrong because she thought it was fucked up that her Best friend, for their entire life, wouldn't tell her something. That was definitely the first time a secret was kept between them.

Soon after waiting about another 5 minutes, Audrey stood up throwing her tray away in the nearest garbage can. She started walking across the courtyard to the "quiet corner" where people usually sat to skip class. She hears a low voice, a girls. It had a familiar ring to it. So she turned the next corner, the corner where the place she was headed to was.

She saw Stefan's face first.. And Laila's hair. Laila had been sitting on his lap.. Kissing him. He had his arms wrapped around her lower back, and she had her arms around the nape of his neck. Audreys mouth opened wide, she covered it as a tear streamed down her cheek as she made a small gasp. Stefan looked up from Laila quickly, eyes wide.

Audrey felt a tear roll down her cheek. She looked Stefan in the eyes. "Do you have any idea how much I actually cared about you? Because at the sight of this, you seemed to have no idea! And Laila, you knew. You knew and thats what hurts the most! That you.. You! Knew I am or was in love with him!"

Laila had put her face on Stefan's shoulder, still holding onto him. "It's not what is looks like.." She mumbled just loud enough for both of them to hear.

Audrey felt more tears forming in her eyes. "Yeah? That't what you have to say? It isn't what it looks like? Because it seems like you just got done making out with the guy I liked!"

Stefan was still looking at Audrey. "Laila, dont try and make it better right now, okay? It's exactly what it looks like then. I do care about you Audrey, just not the way you'd probably like me to. And I'm sorry for that. Can we just.. Talk later, alone?" Stefan didn't want this type of conflict between two life-long friends.

"Fine. Later. Have fun with her for now I guess. And Laila, don't except me to talk to you. I just- I just need to go home." She looked down, beginning to walk away.
