Stefan opened the door slowly, walking in, then shutting the door behind him. He walked around the corner, seeing Audrey sitting on the couch. She wasn't facing toward him, but the other way. "Audrey..?"

She continued facing the opposite way, trying to make sure all the tears had been dried. She took a deep breath and turned her head toward him. "Stefan..?"

Stefan's frown faltered into a smile, fading once he saw the redness in her eyes. Audrey stood up and walked slowly over to him, standing about 2 feet away. "Do you remember that day a few months ago when you kept splashing me with water?" Audrey giggled slightly, a smile falling over her face. "When you teased me for blushing? Or for even being short?"

Stefan sighed, he smiled as well. "Yeah.." He didn't want to say the wrong thing. Or hurt her more.

Audrey frowned, and a tear started falling. She let it fall, not even caring anymore. "Stefan, I don't wanna be here anymore. I wanna be your friend again. We were so close, you know?" She frowned looking down at her feet.

Stefan looked at what he could see of her face. "As in? You better not try anything, okay? And leave Laila out of this."

Audrey looked up at him with a face of confusion. "Leave her out of this? You want me to act like you two didn't do shit? I thought I was actually able to be loved. Either in a friend way or more. But now I see I'll never be cared about again." She felt more tears forming in her red eyes.

"Don't say that, okay Audrey? Yes, we fucked up! But- but were together now. And I don't plan on breaking both of you. Its too late to hurt neither of you, so why hurt both now?" He started looking very serious.

"So.. You picked her.. Of all girls. Heh.. I should've know you never cared. You knew just how to lead a girl on. And you know it." She felt so alone. Her dad left, and now Laila and Stefan? "Goodbye, Stefan."

Stefan had no idea what she actually meant, so instead of asking, he only hugged her, "Goodbye, Audrey." He let her go quickly and walked back outside, leaving. Audrey didn't hug back, but stayed still.
