Will you love me while I'm gone?

I smiled. I could feel my heart leap my chest and rest in his arms. His smile lit up a room and so did his fire light hands. His dark skin and brown hair with brown eyes made him so beautiful. His face made my lips twitch into a smile. He made me feel truly loved, adored and hopeful. Hopeful for a new day.
He holds me in his strong arms and I feel his soft lips touch my cheek. I can feel myself smile along with him. I turn to face him. Leo Valdez. The beautiful man born to the god Hephaestus. He smiled his big goofy, adorable smile. I felt my cheeks heat up as I place a hand on his cheek. "Will you love me while I'm gone?" I asked. His face fell. Worry played in his eyes like dancing fire.
"Will I miss you?" he repeated. I nodded "Where are you going? Why are you leaving? You can't leave! It's dangerous" I smile at his concern.
"I will be safe. But you have no answered my question. Will you love me?"
His face hesitated and my smile dropped I nodded slowly. "I se-"
"I will" He lifts my chin and kisses my softly. "I will love you while you are gone" He whispers softly and I smile in joy and hope once again.
"Thank you" I whisper softly. "Thank you" Leo smiled. "You're welcome. I will always hold you dear" He spoke softly while he moved his hands through my hair. My eyelids gained weight within seconds and soon I could feel his arms wrap protectively around me. I smile in contentment, do I really want to leave this?
I'm not exactly leaving. I'm simply....escaping everything around this.
I don't want to scare anyone especially if my hunch is an over reaction, but I need to escape as someone special will be entering the camp grounds soon. I've felt it with Thalia, and I'm feeling it again. I do not wish to get attached, gain a friend, one of few, and lose them to this life.
Leo held me and once I heard soft snores come from his mouth I slid out from under his grip. With a soft kiss on his cheek I grab my pre-packed bags and exit the cabin. I feel wetness on my cheeks and I can't tell if its the sky crying or if it's me....
