Evan's POV

I had the piece of jewelry in my pocket. I asked my father how expensive it looked. 

He told me it obviously belonged to a king and I should return it to him immediately. 

I walked through the garden and saw prince Jonathan sitting down reading. "Excuse me." I say politely.

He looked up at me with beautiful blue eyes. "Yes Mr. Fong?" He asked closing his book and standing up.

I felt my face get red. "O-Oh um." I look the key necklace out of my pocket. "I found this and I thought it was yours." I grabbed his hand and dropped it.

He studied it closely. I saw his face light up with happiness and shock. He brought me into a very tight hug. "Thank you so much Evan!" I hugged back.

He pulled away. "How could I ever repay you?" He looked up at me again. "You could be my friend?" My answer sounded more like a question.

He wrapped me in a hug again, but this time, his arms went around my neck. "Of course!" I chuckled and wrapped my big arms around his tiny body.

We stayed there for a few moments. "Jonathan!" I heard a deep voice yell. Knowing it was the king, we both pulled away.

He approached us. "What are you doing?!" He asked angrily. He walked up to his father. "Look what the Fong family has returned to us!" He said excitedly.

His dad looked at it, shock showing on his face. He looked up at me. "You must leave immediately!" I nodded and ran on the perimeter of the garden that surrounded the castle.

After a few minutes of talking the king finally left. Prince Jonathan sighed. I called his name.

He looked over at me. "Come on." I mouthed. He looked left and right before running to me. He was making sure his father wasn't around.

He was running to fast that his body collided with mine. I caught the both of us. Our faces were inches apart.

He giggled. "Wanna sneak out? Spend some time with your new friend?" He thought for a moment. "Why the hell not?"

I grabbed his hand and dragged him an carnival that was currently here. He looked at it in amazement.

"You look like you've never been to a fair before." He blushed and rubbed the back of his neck. "I haven't." He said, obviously embarrassed.

My mouth dropped open. "You're kidding." I say shocked. "Ever since my brother's passing my dad's been a little overprotective." He cleared his throat in the middle of his sentence.

"Well I'm gunna show you a great time." I led him to the Ferris wheel. We got on. I could tell he was nervous.

I put a hand on his thigh as I moved right next to him. "You're fine." I reassured him as the ride started to move.

After a few seconds he relaxed. We stopped at the top. I pointed to all the bright city lights that could be seen.

He laid his head on my shoulder. I smiled and wrapped my arm around his shoulders.

After we had fun at the fair I look Jonathan home. He cuddled the teddy bear I won for him to his chest. "Thanks for everything Evan. I had a really good time."

I smiled widely. "It was an honor to escort you." I bow. He giggled and brought my face up to his. He kissed my check and went inside.

When I realized what happened, I ran to my house, screaming with joy. Prince Jonathan just kissed me.
