"Bloody hell..." Arthur groaned as he rubbed his aching temple. Headaches weren't much of a problem when it came to doing his usual jobs. He was beggining to really miss playing detective and taking down low life bastards..
Recently, he had been reduced to being stuck indoors under the F.B.I's control doing desk work to earn pay. What had happened to all the good jobs where he was able to take down criminals? He was an assassin after all.
He wasn't cut out for all this paper work, stuffy quiet rooms, and constant ringing of phone calls. He wanted to be outside putting his weapons to use.
Arthur let out a sigh as he layed his head on his office desk and stared out the window at the city below him.
There had to be someone out there that the police couldn't handle. Some top notch criminal that was a challenge for investigators.

No matter how many times he had went up to his boss asking for a mission he always went home with the same exact answer. He was constantly told that the investigators and police had everything undercontrol and there was no need for an assasin's help.
Of course Arthur didn't believe such a faulty lie. There are plenty of criminals in the world and most certainly someone who needed to be taken down by nonother than a proffesional such as himself.
Arthur frowned at this thought, watching the sun fully set over the city below him.
Perhaps his boss was starting to doubt his capabilities. That would most certainly explain the lack of job opportunities.
But that would be absurd! Arthur had never let them down on previous jobs so why would he now!? Hands clenched under the desk in frustration as he glanced at the clock.
"Finally time to head home." Arthur sighed in relief, getting up and pushing his computer chair beneath the desk.
The heals of his shoes clicked against waxed, white tiles as he made his way down the hallway of his workplace. The whole place was just so cliché. Boring rectangled light installations, gray wallpaper, a few houseplants here and there.
Arthur felt himself growing more and more sick of being cooped up in such a place. He really had to put his foot down and demand for an actual mission. He felt if he were to stay in such a place any longer he would surely go insane.

Swiftly pressing the elevator button, Arthur made his way inside once the metal doors slid open.
He let out a deep sigh, pulling his cellphone from his pocket. It usually did take a bit for the elevator to make it all the way to the bottom floor.
To occupy his time Arthur checked the news, scrolling past small uninteresting things until something very intriguing caught his eye.

            BREAKING NEWS:
   HITMAN JONES MURDERS
           FAMOUS BILIONARE
                HENRY MYERS

Mysterious young killer known as nonother then "Hitman Jones" has striked once again. Mr.Myers was well known for his superior amount of money among other people. According to our sources, it seems he was trying to illegally purchase a stolen historical artifact from Jones. The reason Jones had killed Myers still remains unknown. Killing many over the past years at such a young age has many of the public shook. We have spoken with some of the civilians to gather their inputs on such an occurance as the death of Henry Myers.

"I can't believe such a young man could be capable of such a thing. The scary thing is that we have no clue on what his targets are. He's known for killing thugs on the streets, salesman at banks when he wants something, and now even a powerful man such as Henry... This guy really knows no limit.."
                ~Alex Stanley

"That guy really is cynical! This makes the third known murder from him just within a single week!"
                  ~Jeremy Anderson

"This Hitman has got some serious issues to go against such a powerful-

"Ding~"

Arthur's reading was suddenly cut off as the elevator finally came to a stop at the bottom floor. His heart began to race as he shoved his phone in his pocket. This could be his big chance to get a decent mission!
All he had to do was bring it up with his boss!
Arthur smiled widely, rushing down the lobby and towards the big glass doors infront of him that lead to outside. The stars glittered above the parkinglot as he paced vastly towards his car. He unlocked it and slid into the driver's seat, loosening his tie as he took a deep breath.
He wished he could bring up the job opportunity right then and there with his boss but he knew that was impossible. Francis had already made his way home ages ago and not to mention it was getting late.
Arthur sighed, turning on the ignition and letting his vehicle roar to life in the quiet, empty parking lot. He would have no choice but to wait till morning to have his discussion.

The drive home from work was fairly quiet, along with by the time he stepped into his house.
Flicking on the lights and kicking off his shoes, Arthur made his way upstairs and to his bedroom. He lived alone in his house so the silence was most certainly no surprise. After changing into his pajamas, Arthur flopped onto his bed and pulled the blanket over on top of him.
Lucky for him, work had left him exaughsted so falling asleep was rather easy even with his eagerness to get a mission tommorow. He snuggled deeply into the covers as he drifted off to sleep. Tommorow was a big day after all.
