Palette realizes why Goth was always so quiet and shy, his father was... abusing him. He needed to get Goth out of that household no matter what. Including kidnapping. Scenario two:
Goth hasn't gone to school, the park, or even the nice cream van for a whole week. He hasn't even left the house, nor has he replied to and texts or called back any calls. This is very unlike him, so Palette decides to investigate. He walks in, not before shouting a greeting, and makes his way upstairs, taking note of how nothing at all was out of the ordinary.
