Shot through the heart

Chapter 3

Leaving Christina hurts, not only her but also me. I drive home on my bike. Hopefully Dean isn't following me. I drive past the woods where I stabbed Christina and I let her live. I blink back the tears and try to focus on the traffic. After a long drive I'm back home. Amara greets me and I look at her, pissed that she actually sent me on this mission. "Did you kill the bitch?" Amara asks and I look her dead in the eyes. "The only bitch here is you." I tell her, not caring I'm in deep trouble now. "Young man, that is no way to talk to your superior." Amara tells me and she drags me to a room in the working building, it's called the punish room. Amara straps me in on the iron table and grabs one of the syringes, I've had all of them before so I brace myself against brutal pain. Amara injects me with a blue serum and slowly, very slowly it feels like my body is on fire. The pain becomes worse and worse, but I won't give Amara the satisfaction to hear me beg or scream. I will die before I'll beg for mercy. After a while I see black spots and I know I'm going to pass out. Suddenly I feel a small prick and the pain subsides. "What did you do?" I ask Amara and she looks at me. "I gave you the cure, only so you wouldn't pass out just yet." She says and she grabs her phone. She calls somebody to come over and after a while a blond man walks in. "So Amara, is this the little rebel?" the man asks and Amara nods. "Yes, Gabriel meet Lucifer, he tortures for fun so good luck. Lucifer, you can't kill him so make sure he survives." Amara says before walking out. "Left behind with the devil, whatever shall we do?" I mockingly ask. "You should shut up, I know multiple ways to make you if you don't." Lucifer says and I look at him. "Now what shall we do first?" Lucifer says and he suddenly grins. "I know." He says before grabbing a knife and twiddling it between his fingers. "Now this may sting a bit." He says before plunging the knife into my thigh. I scream and Lucifer grins. "Beautiful sound, now let's see if you can do that again." Lucifer says before grabbing another knife. I know I'm in for a long night and most likely another few days.

It's been probably a few days and Lucifer has left me alone for a while. Suddenly the door opens again and somebody walks in. I can't see who because my head is bound in a certain way. "Why do you always get into trouble Gabriel?" Castiel asks, I recognize his voice and way of speaking. "Well this time it was because I fell in love." I answer, trying to sound like myself. "Love? That's why you are being tortured? If it was a forbidden love than why not kill her?" Castiel asks. "Just wait until you fall in love, bucko." I tell him. Castiel shrugs and he frees me from the table. "Who is assigned to kill Christina Winchester?" I ask Castiel and he thinks. "I believe Michael is assigned to kill the target you failed to kill." Castiel answers and I growl, Michael is always trying to please Amara. "I need to get out." I say and I try to walk. "Gabriel you can't walk." Castiel says and I fall flat on my face. "I'm okay." I say and I get up. I grab the bloody table as support before trying to walk again. After a while and a lot of faceplants I'm in my car, driving towards the Winchester house. Only one thought is going through my head; protect Christina Winchester. I arrive at my destination and growl, Michael is already here. I quickly get untop of the roof opposite of Chrissie's window. Chrissie is sleeping and suddenly the door opens. Michael walks in and I growl, walking to the edge of the building I'm sitting on. I grab my phone and call Michael. "Michael you great big bag of dicks, I will jump if you kill her." I tell him as soon as he picks up. I see Christina stir in her sleep and smile, she's adorable. "You won't." Michael whispers into the phone and he hangs up. I notice he grabbed his knife to slit Chrissie's throat. I panic and try calling her so she'll wake up. It doesn't work and I jump through her window. I grab Michael by the scruff of his jacket and pull him away from Christina. "You ass, I told you not to harm her!" I shout and Christina wakes up. She sees Michael and starts screaming her lungs out. Dean comes barging into the room and I'm still struggling to keep Michael down. "What the hell is going on Matt?!" he shouts and some more people watch from the hallway, including the rest of the Winchester family. "Matt?" I ask. "Yes, that's me you scum. Anyway, I found this intruder here in Christina's room, he was trying to kill her." Michael lies easily, he always was the better liar. "You know I would never hurt Christina, this guy here is a liar." I say and I look at Christina for help. "And why would we believe a Novak?" John asks and I can see him holding a knife. "Because I love Christina." I confess and I look at John. "Yeah sure, kill him boys." John says and I get up. I back away towards the window and as soon as I hit the windowsill I smirk. "It was a pleasure getting to know you but I've got to go." I say and I jump out of the window. I fall towards the ground only to grip a flagpole and dropping down on a safe distance from the ground.
