Minnie walked the beach, her job was to keep an eye out for injuries either near shore or on the beach. However, there was hardly any activity so she sang softly to herself.

Cast adrift

Like a ship without an anchor

Falling down

Like a tower without a base

Can't stand

Like a house without foundations

Got no eyes,

In a world without your face.

It was a song that her mother had sang when she lost her father. Minnie had listened to her mother sing one night, when she was meant to be asleep. Now the words reminded her of the family she no longer had.

Her peaceful stroll was disrupted when she heard clapping. She spun around to see Mingyu perched on a rock watching her.

"What are you doing?" She asked, crossing her arms.

He stood and walked towards her, but she stepped away. "I heard you singing and came to see for myself. You know, you're amazing! You could easily be an idol." He gestured excitedly with his hands.

She shook her head. "Thanks, but I don't think so." She turned and started to walk away and he grabbed her arm, stopping her.

"I didn't mean to upset you, I just think you're so talented that it would be a good idea." He dropped her arm and stepped back.

"Thank you, you're very kind and all but..." Her words dropped off and she shook her head smiling. "Thank you, I don't think anyone has ever complimented me like that."

"You say thank you too much but, you're welcome. I mean it."

Minnie and Mingyu smiled at each other and then laughed into the salty air. They then turned and walked back towards the beach house.

Further down the beach, Kyle found herself in a similar situation. However, she was significantly less amused than Minnie. Taeyong had snuck up behind her while she set up for the bonfire.

"Hey Hot Stuff," he said from his spot directly behind her. Kyle spun around and pushed him away from her. She tripped over her own feet but caught herself as she said, "There is something wrong with you!" Taeyong stepped closer to her again, "Yeah, I'm infatuated with you."

"Nope, you need to leave me alone. I'm trying to do my job." Kyle walked around the circle of chairs to distribute s'more sticks. Taeyong followed her around the circle asking random questions about her likes and dislikes.

He reached out and touched her shoulder. Immediately she jerked away, "That. Is. It. What about leave me alone do you not understand?!" Her hands waved around as she turned and walked away, she didn't want an answer.

She got one anyway, "Wait! Don't go!" Taeyong put his hand on her arm. "I didn't mean to freak you out, I just freaked out because you're so pretty and I wanted you to like me and I didn't know what to do and." His arms flailed around, sending a glass of water flying. It soaked the front of Kyle's clothes.

"Whoa, okay." She grabbed a towel and pat herself dry.

Before either of them could say anything else, Park Jia walked up with every one else to begin the bonfire.

The crew had gotten all the footage they needed for the show so the cast and crew were crowded around the fire relaxing. The sun had set while they were still filming but now the sky was dark and the only light came from the moon and the fire.

"You guys are really good singers," Wei said to the girls as he leaned forward and rested his chin on his hands.

A chorus of agreement sprung up from the group, but the girls looked at each other nervously.

"Yeah... I don't think so." Meili said, crossing her arms and narrowing her eyes at the other girls. There was no way they would be able to do that and not get found out.

"Aw come on! You guys would be great, imagine the collabs we could do!" Yixing clapped excitedly, his eyes had been locked onto her since they sat down and she kept glancing at him.

Just at that moment, Alan stomped into the circle making as much noise as an approaching storm. Thunder flashed across his face. "It is time for you all to leave."

He ushered the boys and their crew out in record time, leaving the girls to sit and wait for the impending lecture from Alan.

Alan glared at each of the girls in turn. "What were you thinking? I told you to be careful, I have told you to be careful over and over again! We can't risk you being in the spotlight. It's too dangerous." He sighed and rubbed his face with both hands.

"But Alan." Meili walked over to him and started rubbing circles on his back. "This is something we want to do."

"We think it'll be worth the risk," Brightanne says as she pulls one of Alan's hands from his face.

"Just go, leave me to think about it." Alan pulled his hand from Brightanne's grip and waved them away.

Late into the night, splashing could be heard from the water. The splashing only stopped when lilting voices drifted up the shore. The crescent moon hung in the sky as if looking over the night's events knowingly.

Anyone who is still reading this please comment your character's name so that I know your username, just in case its changed. It has been a while. Plus if someone isn't following anymore then I can make it easier for myself by lowering the number of people in this story. That would also make it a lot easier to focus on the other characters.

I know it's my fault for not updating often but I would like to keep going with those that still care.
