【fairy tail】I ran back home and you came to 《discontinued 》

~chapter five~

•|Lucy's POV|•
We had been on the train for a while now. Gray had fallen asleep and he was resting his head on my lap, I began to play with his hair making a small plat with a piece blue ribbon I found in purse embroidered in the plat, I smiled looking at his sleeping face Cute. I thought Jesus Lucy what's wrong with you! I said in my head, mentally slapping my self.

"NEXT STOP SWYNSTON!" A man shouted from the other end of the train station that's our stop! I thought and began to shake Gray to wake him up "hmm what's going on" he looked up at me a rubbing his eyes "We have to get of the train sleepyhead!" I joked around giggling

•|Grays POV|•
Me and Lucy grabbed our bags and headed to the mayors' house. The town was gorgeous! It was perfect for a date. The town had a river running through the middle of it so most people traveled by boat of road a bike since the roads where to small for a horse and cart. Most of the houses had a Victorian look with flowers and ivy growing up them. "Excuse me sir but could you take us the mayors' house?" Lucy ask a man that was sitting in a small row boat "Yes of course! Just hop on!" The man exclaimed ushering is to come on the small wooden row boat. The ride to the mayors house was silent, not awkward silence but more of a comforting silence "so.........." the old man started breaking the silence " you two together?" He asked and my face heated up "n-no" I managed to say in embarrassment I tuned to Lucy she was a similar colour to me. " what a disappointment you two look good together" he said.

We had just got of the boat and the man began to whisper in my ear "Go ask her out. I can tell you have great interest in her" He smiled to me; untied his boat and left on his boat , I just stood there processing what just happened an old wrinkly man pretty much just gave me relationship advice "GRAY STOP STALLING WE NEED TO GET THE THE MAYORS HOUSE!" Lucy's interrupted my thoughts loudly, from half way down the quiet street.

We finally reached the large golden gates of the mayors house man he sure is rich I thought looking at the large mansion. A faint buzzing sound came out of a small golden box on the side of the gate "HelLo" the voice became distorted though the speaker of the box  "WhO aRe YoU?" The voice on the other end started "We are wizards from fairy tail. We got you request to help you get rid of some demons that are eating your crops"Lucy said through a microphone "Oh YeS PleAse WAit a MomeNT!" Soon the gates opened and we where greeted by a man wearing a black suit, a white shirt, a black tie, a pair of white gloves also a pair of white a house "hello there, sir and miss" he bowed to us with his hand placed on his chest "please come with me.My master is waiting" We followed the Butler into the rather grand house. It was a marble looking white and had pillars holding up a slight over hang on the mansion, there where large windows which you could see maids cleaning, there where also many gardeners and just before you entered the house there was a large fountain that had crystal clear water in it. In all honesty it was magnificent.

Just after our small tour around the garden the butler led us into the house there was a large staircase in the centre of the entrance "just up here" the Butler said leading us up the rather grand staircase, there was a large painting of I presumed the mayor and his wife. "It's so beautiful here!" I heard Lucy say "sure is " I replied my eyes wandering around the a palace like mansion.

We wondered through beautifully decorated hallways up different grand staircases "Masters office is just through this door" the Butler bowed and left "I feel like peasant here" I said with my hands in my pockets "yea I know what you mean" Lucy said looking at the door.

Lucy knocked on the door "Come in" a masculine voice said from the other side of the door. The door opened to reveal a young man with dark brown hair and a maroon suite, a purple tie and a white shirt, sitting at a large desk that had paperwork scattered across it "welcome fairy tail wizards!" He gave a strangely warm welcome too us both "I'm James. It's lovely to have you in my house and I'm glad you accepted my request!" He said and kept smiling, it was making me rather uncomfortable especially when he kept giving Lucy small glances "anyway..........." I started so he wouldn't pay attention to Lucy "when can we start our job?" I ask looking him straight in the eye "in the morning that's when the crops get taken"he said answering my question "so...... do you know what they look like?"
"Yes! yes I do!" He began to shout  "they have nine bushy Fox like tails and fox like ears"
"So a Kitsune" I said
(A Kitsune is a half fox and half human, most of them have nine tails. It's a traditional Japanese folk law.)
I looked over to Lucy, her skin was pale. She looked sick! "Hey Lucy, you ok?" I said to her in worry "yeah. I just had a flash back from when I lived in the heartfilia estate"

•|Lucy's POV|•
I lied and I hate lying! I hate thinking about the time my family died in fire. The burning. The screams of children and adults. Everything gone. Turned to ashes. The truth is I'm a Kitsune and my species is endangered. I've not seen someone like me in almost eleven-years. I miss my friends...birth mother and farther.
My birth mother left me when I was seven at the heartfilia estate , she was close friends to a maid that worked there. The maid ,Miyū, looked after me for six months then Layla and Jude found out that Miyū was looking after a child they took me in after Layla failed multiple time to get pregnant. I've always wished I could see all my friends again. It hurts to keep secrets from everyone and the fact I will never get to see my parents and close friends.....
