~chapter ten~

•|Gray's POV|•
I Gulped as we entered the cafe, hand and hand; blood rushing to my face when the waitress said "Oo! A lovely young couple. On a date I presume?" Me and Lucy both nervously nod "please  follow me. We only have one table left." The waitress said ushering us to follow her. The seat she took us to was right next to the window with a view of the river the flows through magnolia. Being the gentleman I am I pulled a chair out for Lucy she thanked me then I took my seat. I skimmed through the menu and decided I would have the special (steak with asparagus and seasoned potatoes) I also decided I would have a glass of iced water. "Lucy what are you ordering?" She looked up from her menu and said "muscles and potato salad with coke. What about you?"
" the special" she nodded and raised her hand to call over a waitress.

After we ordered I asked Lucy "where are you planning to take us to train?" She looked and me and put her finger over her mouth and whispered "it's a secret" she giggled cutely and rested her chin on her hand. Finally the food came me a Lucy both licked our lips at the sight of the food "enjoy your meal!" The waitress said; she bowed then left to serve some customers who had just arrived. Me and Lucy hummed in delight at the taste of the food "mmmm this is so good !" Lucy exclaimed through numerous bites of food, I smiled at the sight of her eating without a care in the world.

Time skip

Me and Lucy had just left the restaurant and now we headed to the park, our hand intertwined as we walked around the cobble streets of Mongolia. A certain shop caught my eye , a jewellery shop, "hey Lucy wait here for me okay!" I said reluctantly letting go of her hand, I ran into the shop and a set of earrings and a necklace sort of call out for me "can I help you sir?" I heard a voice behind be "oh um yes" I turned towards the shop assistant "how much is the necklace and earrings?" I ask "10,000 jewels" she said and she set her hand on the skirt. 10,000 jewel? That's a lot of money but I would spend even more for Lucy's love. "I'll take it!" I chirped to the shop assistant "lovely choice sir" she took the jewellery from the case and put it in a box then in a white paper with the logo of the shop on. " thank you" I bowed then left.

"What you got there gray?" Lucy asked pointing the bag in my hand "it's a surprise",yet again me and Lucy's hands linked together and we continued our walk to the park

As we where walking I became more and more curious to what was in the bag Gray was holding, a ring? A keychain? A necklace? Earnings? Ugh I really want to know the suspense is killing me. Putting the bag aside we soon arrived at the park "can we get ice cream?!" I nearly shouted as I spotted an ice cream stall located under a willow tree near a river "yea sure!" Gray said smiling sweetly at me. We made our way towards the ice cream stall our hands still intact "aah they all look so good!" I squealed in excitement "oo I want the strawberry one!" I put my hands on the glass like a child "which one are you getting Gray?" He looked like he was in deep thought cute I thought as he slowly replied "umm I'm gonna get the vanilla one!" He said matching my level of enthusiasm "can we have two ice creams,one vanilla and one strawberry please" gray asked the man at the ice cream stall "sure! would that be in a cone young sir?"
"Yes thank you" he passed me and Gray the ice creams, then we left to find a bench. We found a secluded bench next to a cherry blossom that was in bloom "ah it's so nice here!" I said licking my ice cream "sure is!" Gray replied

•| Narrative POV|•
It was a warm calming evening on they day of their date, Gray and Lucy made their way up to a hill famous for viewing Magnolia's romantic red sunset. "Aah this is so beautiful Gray" Lucy exclaimed looking up at the changing sky, Gray chuckled slightly looking at Lucy who was dancing under the sunset with the newly emerged fireflies rising up with the spin of her skirt. As the date drew to an end Gray's hands' gripped onto the paper bag tighter "h-h-Hey um....Lucy? Can you um come here for oh god a sec?" Gray said nervously, all the muscles in his quivering. "Hey Gray are you okay?" Lucy asked noticing Gray's strange behaviour "yea I-I-I'm find....kinda" Gray replied sweat running down his forehead "Lucy can you um close your eyes?" Lucy looked at gray confused at why he wanted her to close her eyes "um okay" she closed her eyes turning away from the raven haired man.
