Chapter 2

Young Jazz POV

Ruby: "I wanna be a Huntress when I grow up! I'm gonna be like ha! Ya! Hawwwwaaaaaa!" Ruby said preforming karate chops.

Yang: "I want to travel the word as a Huntress!" Yang exclaimed pumping her fist into the air.

Jazz: "You're so dedicated to being a Huntress... But I don't know what I want to be." I said looking down trying to picture my future self. Everything fit and didn't at the same time.

Tiyang: "Hey Jazz come here." Dad said popping his head out of the kitchen

Jazz: I walk into the kitchen and see dad washing the dishes after dinner. "Yes dad?" I asked

He dried his hands and turned to me.

Tiyang: "I know you don't know what you want to be but stand by and protect your sisters. I know Yang can protect herself and Ruby. But y'know Yang can think with her fists and her semblance. So... Promise me you'll watch over them and protect them?" He asked kindly

He started to fade into white and turn to dust as everything around my was doing the same. Looking around at the white canvas I was now in. The memory/dream ended.

Present Day...

Jazz: Stirring from sleep and looking up at the pale white ceiling I slowly sit up. "*sigh* Another memory dream thing? I guess it explains why I'm still here." I got up and walked to bathroom and got ready for the day.

???: "C'mon sleepy head!" A little voice said as it woke up other people.

I poke my head out and find a girl with pink hair and wearing a pink skirt and a white shirt following a guy in green and white clothing. I walk to the locker room and take out my weapons as other students woke up and did the same. Closing the door of my locker I put my Glock in its holster on my right leg and slide my Katana into its sheath on my back.

Glynda *over announcement*: "Students you will be meeting at the cliff for your initiation." She said turning off the intercom when she finished.

Jazz: "I'll take a cookie for breakfast." I suggested and grabbed my cookie and walked to the cliff.

Juane: "I would have remembered my locker was that far because I would've remembered walking that far!" Juane said with the worried face he had while looking for his locker.

I watched Juane walk by and came to the door that lead to the cliff. Opening the door I saw Ozpin and Glynda standing a little from the edge looking at me.

Ozpin: "Hello Mr. Xiao Long. Are you ready for your initiation?" He asked looking at me with a smug grin.

Jazz: "I'm ready Professor." I said giving him a smug grin.

Ozpin: "Alright well step onto the plate and wait for the other students to join." He pointed to the plates.

I look and step onto one. I pull out a book titled Sherlock Holmes and read while I wait for the initiation to start.

Timeskip... Initiation...

Ozpin: "For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest." He took a sip of his coffee after he finished.

Glynda: "Now I pretty sure you all heard rumors about the assignment of teams. Well allow us to put a confusion to the end of your to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates... today." She finished.
