I slowly pushed the clear glass door open, and a bell rang above my head as I entered inside the creepy, dark store. The bell was the only noise in the entire store, meaning two things.

One, I was the only one here, all alone in this dark store.

And two, I shouldn't even go into stores like these... The only reason I was here because...

"Hello dear. Come to buy or just look?" A voice behind the front counter made me jump, and I gasped. "Oh! You startled me!" I laughed nervously, and an old African-American woman with deep wrinkled eyes smiled knowingly at me. "Yes, I get that a lot. So, what brings you here into this ol' little store?"

Old little store..? Something about this place was off. The walls were stocked with ancient artifacts of all kinds, like smiling skulls, bone necklaces, frowning voodoo dolls, jars with animal parts in them and sooo much more... It made me want to turn around and run back to my car, but...

"I'm here to buy a gift for my boyfriend..." I walked up hesitantly to the front counter, and the old woman observed me carefully. "Like what?" She asked curiously.

"Well he's into... Artifacts... Like really old things... He's a collector." I stumbled over my words, trying to carefully pick the right ones.

"What's your budget?" She asked again, already going into the back of the store. "I don't have one, I mean if I see something I think he'll like, I'll buy it."

She came back faster than I expected, and held several different unique looking items in her hands. She carefully laid them all out next to each other on the counter, and my eyes scanned over every single item, but for some reason I didn't like any of them.

"This here ol' vase once belonged in the palace of Cleopatra herself." The old woman smiled at me, perhaps to peak my curiosity, but I only silently nodded.

"And here we have the parchment paper scroll of a dead language, some believe it may have been apart of the very first constructed bible." Once again I only nodded, and she seemed to understand I wasn't that interested as she quickly jumped over to the next item.

"Alright, I can guarantee you'll love this one. This dagger was claimed to be found in the same tree Eve was said to take the forbidden fruit from. I like to call it Eve's Revenge. Fat lotta good it did her though." She laughed as if recalling something amusing, and then looking back to me.

"These are all very interesting, but... I don't know... My boyfriend is more of a 'cursed object' kind of collector... I'm going to regret asking but do you happen to have any?" I rubbed my hands together awkwardly. "Cursed objects that is..."
