A/N: This was one of my personal favorite oneshots to write. I actually started crying at the end because it was so touching and I just love writing those really heart-warming scenes. I hope you all like it! Please leave feedback~
Dean is very proud to say that his daughter is in first grade and she is doing great. Art class is little Jo's favorite time because she gives everything she makes to her loving parents: a human and an angel. Of course, Jo is unaware of Castiel being a celestial creature, but she does just fine thinking he is a human. At the same time, Castiel does a great job of pretending to be human. Cas drives Jo to school, saying "I love you" in enochian before she runs off. He makes Jo macaroni and cheese-even if it's a little burnt. He tells Jo the story of how he fell in love with Dean over and over, just because it's Jo's favorite bedtime story. And what a bedtime story it is! Jo loves the fact that in the "make believe" tale, Castiel is an angel that saved her Daddy from the underworld and a great deal of torture. Jo listens attentively when Cas illustrates how it was Dean's love that broke the connection between himself and the evil angel in heaven. She loves hearing Cas describe how Dean wouldn't give up on finding Cas when they were stuck in a world full of monsters that were out to get them. In Castiel's "stories" there are monsters, yes, but Jo's parents always save the day.
One week, Jo comes home from school every day with a new drawing. "Daddy, Papa, look! I drew you!" Jo would exclaim, her energy making her bounce on her feet, her blonde curls bouncing. Every day, Jo had drawn a scene from the stories Cas would tell her. One day it was Dean reaching back through the portal to help Castiel. Another in crayon depicted the day that Cas first confided in Dean when they sat in the park. Cas was almost brought to tears when he saw a drawing from a story he never described in much detail; it was when Dean and Cas fought together to go retreive Kevin from Crowley's grasp. Castiel had sheilded Dean with his wings in a feathery embrace as if to comfort the hunter. His wings were colored so magnificently, even if they were drawn by an 8-year-old.
"Thank you, baby. They are beautiful!" Cas says. Dean smiles and crouches down to kiss Jo's forehead.
After Jo runs off to play in her room, Dean pulls his angel into an embrace, his lips resting on Cas's forehead. "I take it you are still telling her those stories about us," Dean whispers. Cas only nods before closing his eyes and kissing Dean like he is the last man on earth.
Since it is the end of the school year, Jo's school is making crafts for father's day. Of course, the gifts from students to parents will be a month early since it is only May currently. Jo runs over to her parents who are patiently waiting to pick her up at school that day. Both angel and human grin and hug their daughter who runs at them with outstretched arms. "Happy early Father's Day!" Jo says cheerily. "I made you something!"
"I can't wait to see it!" Dean laughs and helps Jo into her carseat in the Impala as Cas takes his usual spot in the passenger seat. He turns around to see Jo's smiling face.
"Did you have fun today?" Cas asks her as she rummages through her bag.
"Yes! Everyone shared their favorite thing about their dad, and they all thought it was cool that I got to share twice!" Jo is so radient, it's like she is a pure sunbeam. Dean laughs as he starts the car.
"They thought it was cool, then?" Dean asks. Jo nods and pulls a paper from her bag.
"They also thought it was cool that Papa is an angel." Castiel's breath hitches uncomfortably in his throat.
"You told them that?" Cas asks with a half-smile. Jo shakes her head in an exaggerated manner and flips around the paper.
"No, I drew it, silly!" Jo says matter-of-factly. Cas takes a look at the picture and his heart melts instantaneously. In Jo's scribbly drawing, Cas has fluffy, white wings which are wrapped protectively around Jo and Dean. Everyone is in a feathery embrace. Dean looks over to see Cas's Cheshire smile growing from ear to ear.
"That's beautiful, baby. I love it so much!" Cas says with a shaky voice, tears of joy rising in his throat.
"Thank you, Jo, it's a very pretty picture," Dean smiles and it brightens the atmosphere. Cas holds onto Dean's hand and doesn't untangle their fingers until they are home.

That weekend, Gabriel and Balthazar visit unexpectedly to visit their brother and his family.
"Uncle Balthazar!" Jo squeals and leaps into the angel's arms.
"Hello, little one!" Balthazar chuckles and spins Jo around.
"And uncle Gabe too!" Jo giggles and waves to Gabriel. Gabriel waves back with a grin. Cas moves to hug Gabe since Balthy is occupied with Jo in his arms at the moment.
"Surprise!" A female voice says from the doorway.
"Charlie!" Jo squeals again and this time, Balthazar sets her down so she can run over to her aunt.
"Charlie? Wasn't expecting you!" Dean pulls Charlie into a hug and makes sure to ruffle her hair.
"Well, here I am!" Charlie smiles and leans to hug Jo who is jumping at her feet.
Once everyone is settled and quietly chatting, Jo pipes up, "I have to show you my drawing!" Her hair bounces when she runs to the kitchen where her newest picture is hanging. She rushes back with it carefully folded in her arms. She first gives it to Charlie who is sitting in a chair in front of Dean and Cas (who can't help but be glued to each other's side). Charlie smiles a white smile and takes the picture gingerly.
"Jo, this is so great! Is that your Papa with the wings?" Charlie points at the crayon-Cas. Jo nods with so much enthusiasm Dean fears she will get whiplash, and Cas is blushing like mad. "You should show your uncles this!"
Jo skips to Balthy who holds it so Gabe can see too. "Honey, this is womderful!" Balthazar says in his heavy accent. Gabriel nods and smiles as he observes the drawing.
"Your daughter is talented, little bro!" Gabe says to Cas whose blush has reached his ears.
"Wait, uncle, since you are Papa's brother does that mean you are angels too?" Jo asks Balthy and Gabe. Balthazar's eyes grow wide and Gabe looks to Cas for help. Dean and Cas gently nod a "yes" to them.
"Yes, yes of course!" Balthazar says a little too quickly.
"Totally!" Gabe says with another nod. Jo smiles and sits on Dean's lap, and he starts to put Jo's long hair in a braid.
"Does that mean I'm an angel too?" Jo says simply and turns to Cas.
"You are an angel if you want to be," Cas says gently as he pushes a loose curl behind Jo's ear.
~~~~~
"Happy birthday, Jo!" Castiel says as he pulls his 16-year-old daughter into his arms. Dean soon joins the bone-crushing hug. Once they step back, Jo smiles at her fathers.
"Hey Pop, so you remember those stories? The ones about the angels? And the really long story of how you fell in love?" Jo asks out of nowhere
Cas remembers, of course, as does his husband. "What about it?" He asks.
"I dunno. I guess it's funny how I was convinced that you and your brothers are angels. And that you actually pulled Dad from hell, and that's how you met and fell in love?" Jo laughs for a minute and them realizes nobody else is laughing.
"Well you were convinced, but all of it is true. Angels are real and your father is one," Dean says as simply as he can.
Jo stares for a second. Then she smiles bigger than anyone thought possible, and Castiel and Dean smile too because they know what that smile means.
Jo pulls everyone in for a hug again. "I knew it," she cries.
