Sometimes Dean forgets that Cas is human now, and there are many things the fallen angel hasn't seen yet. He hasn't experienced music or all of the new technology. Little did Dean know that some bugs had never been seen by Castiel before. Of course, he doesn't figure that out until Cas is screaming at the small, harmless insects. The day went something like this:

Cas is about to lie down for a nap after helping the brothers with a hunt. He takes off his shoes, but he just decides to take a shower instead of a nap. The bunker has a large bathroom with many sinks and mirrors, so the boys don't have to share one sink. Sam's sink is neat with a toothbrush holder and his hair products neatly lined up. On the other hand, Dean's sink is messy; his toothbrush is on the side of the sink, and the toothpaste is missing its cap. Several bottles are scattered around haphazardly. Cas's sink is a little like both of the brothers'. He tries to keep things organized like Sam, but ends up throwing things in random places like Dean.

Cas grabs his shampoo and a towel after stripping out of his layers of clothing. Just as he reaches for the knob in the shower for the water, he catches a glimpse of a black form perched on the knob. Cas tries to get a closer look, but as soon as he does, he jumps back, holding the towel against his chest.

"AAAAHHHHHHHH DEEEAN HELP!!!!!" Cas screeches and backs into the counter. He can feel the spider's many eyes watching him. A concerned and shocked Dean bursts through the door.

"Cas! What's wrong?!" He then notices Cas is completely naked except for the towel he hurriedly had held to his hips to cover himself up. Cas feels his face heat up with a rush of blood.

"There's a.. um... a thing. It's in the shower," Cas stutters as Dean's eyes scan his body. "It scared me."

Dean smiles only a tiny bit when he opens the shower curtain and sees the small, black spider sitting there. "You're scared of bugs?"

"Spiders..." Cas sighs, averting his eyes away from Dean. Dean grabs a tissue and squishes the spider, throwing it away. Cas noticeably flinches when the wad of paper hits the inside of the bin.

"There, now it's gone, Cas," Dean smiles. He ruffles Cas's hair just for fun and Cas goes redder than before. Now Cas doesn't want to take a shower; the spider ruined it for him.

Just as Dean is walking out of the bathroom, Cas yells after him, "It's not going to come back, right Dean?" Dean spins around on his heel to face the fallen angel who has a concerned and worried look on his face.

"Yeah, it's totally going to come back and crawl under the sheets of your bed and eat you alive," Dean says sarcastically, not knowing that Castiel took it literally. With a chuckle, the older Winchester struts back down the hall.

Standing in the doorway to his room that night, Cas holds his arms around his middle; he contemplates whether or not to snuggle up in his bed after what Dean had told him about the spider. Could a spider really eat me alive? Cas asks himself, but decides he doesn't want to stick around to find out. He quickly pads over to the room next to his and opens the door slightly to hear a faint snoring coming from within. Slowly, the ex-angel makes it to the side of the bed covered in a tan blanket.

Dean sleeps soundly wound up in the covers of his bed, and Castiel watches his chest rise and fall for a moment before moving closer. At glacial speed, Cas pulls back Dean's blanket and slowly sinks down next to him. Luckily for Cas, Dean is a heavy sleeper. Warmth radiates from beside him and the feeling is new to Cas.

Dean said they would crawl in my bed, not his, Cas thinks as he edges even closer to Dean. Their legs are now grazing each other. With a sleepy sigh, Dean rolls onto his stomach, splaying his arm out and around Cas's shoulder. Cas flinches and hopes Dean won't wake because of his presence. A leg is now wrapped around Cas's own.

Hesitantly, the fallen angel wraps his own arm around Dean with a light touch. His fingers graze the place where his handprint used to be welted on Dean's skin. My righteous man, Cas thinks.

My hunter, my green-eyed man.

My humanity, my loyal man

My life, my forever.

You stayed faithful in me when I wasn't to myself. You trusted me; you still do. My love.

Before Cas can let his mind travel any further, Dean stirs again, this time he pulls Cas against his chest. Castiel now notices that it's bare and warm even through the thin shirt Cas wears.

"Cas," Dean whispers. Castiel tenses up again. Is Dean awake? Oh no, he knows I'm here... "You could have asked to sleep in here whenever you wanted, y'know?" Castiel feels a blush race up his face. "You don't have to wait for my sarcasm to scare you into sleeping in here."

Oh, he was being sarcastic, now I feel unknowledgeable.

Dean lets out a soft chuckle before burying his face in Castiel's dark hair and falling back asleep, leaving Castiel feeling content that he finally has Dean after so long.

(A/N) so that was a short little ficlet... I hope you thought it was cute! (More coming soon I promise!)
