Vincent's Pov

I limp with the musket in my armpit to use as a clutch as I try to walk to a shelter I see Ace again in the distance walking to a house. I know I should try to stop him but I'm in no shape to help anyone. I walk towards the burnt up black leafless trees to hide from Ace when I made it in the burnt up woods I immediately see a large wall in the far distance so I decided I walk there. I look at the same road that I was on that was next to the woods but I found out that the house isn't there anymore.

I stopped and looked behind me to see the house that I saw earlier was behind me. " I already passed it?" I try to focus my eyes in the distance behind the house and I see Ace near the house. Out of fear, I went back in the woods but further this time just in case if Ace saw me I could move around going behind the trees.

I keep limping towards the wall but then I felt tired and the sun was about to set again realizing that time went by fast or I must've woken up in the middle of the day. I limped to the wall dodging the roots of the trees' that were laying on the ground as if they are spreading on the ground. When I got eleven feet into the perimeter an arrow comes down then it stabs the ground. I got startled and step back looking up at the top of the wall
I see a line of men that look like archers with their bows and arrows aiming at me ready to shoot if necessary.

"DON'T YOU DARE MOVE!" A man said that was in the middle. "Who are you!" He asked firmly showing no signs of fear or worry in his tone. "I'm from The Kingdom of Elof and I'm the only survivor that evacuated safely," I responded. He nodded or at least I think he did because he was a bit far away from me. He left shortly after.

He came back then threw down a ladder. "Climb and don't bring the gun with you." he simply said coldly with almost no emotion or animation. I throw away the musket, I grab on to the wooden ladder that seemed stable enough for me, then pulled myself up so my foot can get on each step of the ladder. I climbed with one leg doing most of the work as the other leg did nothing until I reached the top then when I do the men help me up and over to the top.

"What happened to the others?" he said in a concerned manner. "Like I said they didn't make it not even the other kingdoms could not stop him if they uni-" he paused me interrupting me. "Let's talk about this later in my home then to talk about it, because this isn't the right place to talk." I nodded. The men took me by the arms then helped me back down the wall into the city by the stairs.

I look around and notice that this wall is surrounding the big city and I could've got to the gate if I was still on rode but since I left off course I ended up further away from the gate. The men (which were two people) helped me to a building made of stone with a red cross banner on it. They got me inside and then the doctor immediately got out from his chair then gets me on a comfortable bed. The man was black in a friendly tone he asked the two men to wait outside. The two men nodded then left the building and waited outside.

"Hello, I'm Charlie what's your name?" he said as he checked my wounded leg (which was my right leg). " I'm Vincent and it's a long story but I need help." he nodded. "Yes you do but I got the perfect solution!" He takes out some sort of white box and then he takes out a cylinder of a white substance that looks like a bandage. He starts to wrap it around my leg then he puts on layers of things that I don't even know what they are. "All done!" he sighed. I tried bending my leg but I can't so I panicked. "Why can't I bend it?!" I started to panic. "Its a cast and what it does is it protects your leg from further damage. I run my fingers on it's rough and hard surface. "Thank you so much but how do I walk?" He grabs two crutches that were in the corner. "By this." he passed them to me. I got up putting them in my armpit and strangely this is not that bad. "Wow thank you!" I smiled. "Keep safe." he smiles and waves goodbye as I walked out. "Oh trust me I will!" I said conveniently.
